I understand you’re trying to sound logical and rational, but really you’re just making yourself sound like a sociopathic a-hole who’s not capable of empathy.
Do better. The world would be a better place with less a-holes and more people who care about humanity and try to make everyone else better off instead of just themselves. Empathy and ability to feel another person’s pain would help you to go a long way towards that.

What's the point of your comment ?
The original post was I’m hearing something not good has happened to someone at LSU, he then edited the post clarifying the situation. But at the time of the original post I was saying why post this if there is no information

Awful… I wish our fans hadn’t by and large turned on him to such an extent. IMO he was behaving carelessly and then panicked; nothing malicious or evil.

Didn't know that, thanks. I thought fleeing the scene would have played into it. In any case, it is what it is.

You sound cold and unfeeling.
Let's see if your opinion changes if it is your family member. The pain never goes away when your loved one offs himself/herself.

Terrible news. I don’t know all of facts about his accident but still can’t understand what makes young people take their life.

It's a shame for sure and prayers to his family. Horrible decision he made leaving the scene of an accident where another man lost his life. He would have been way better off just owning his mistake. Sad day for everyone involved nobody wins in these situations.

Standing up and admitting he was wrong would have been better than taking his own life, don’t you agree?
That was my first post so yeah I agree owning your mistake is always better and produces the best possible outcome from a dire situation. Yes I left out guilt I meant to write that also. And yes all the selfish emotions do play a part in it you can be sad for yourself and still have remorse, remorse would be the anger and frustration at ones self for handling the situation like he did. Like I said there are no winners here two people lost their lives over something that didn't need to happen and could have been avoided. That's where tragedy comes in

No one cares about your message board thoughts and prayers. Reflexively typing out thoughts and prayers on a message board about someone you didn’t know at all is one of the dumbest things on the planet.
It’s a terribly dark story all the way around. Kid starts off unknown, makes something of himself, makes a terrible decision, and it ends like this.
About the only good that can come out of this is if it is used as a cautionary tale for these young guys now getting a ton of money and being able to live a really fast life and the exposure, choices, and consequences that can come with that.

Incredibly tragic. Prayers for the family
A 24yo young man who experienced a lot of great highs in life, many in the last year. It was supposed to just be the beginning for him.
One mistake seemed to lead to this. One.
RIP 2

You sound like another a-hole who could use the message in my post. Go re-read it again and again it until it penetrates your rock-hard skull.

It’s amazing how many people keep using the term “mistake” like he forgot to lock his car door or something.
He was driving foolishly, carelessly, and without regard for anyone else’s life. He caused an accident that killed a man. After the accident, he didn’t even have the decency to stay and call for help. He fled the scene, so that he wouldn’t have any connection or consequences for his reckless actions.
That is not just one mistake.

All I will say is prayers to the family and wish someone could have reached him to talk him away from it.
Think a lot of ppl said what they had to say the original car crash thread about the situation, but regardless of how you felt, it’s hard not to have empathy for this.
He could have did his time, worked and prayed in prison, and maybe came to peace with himself.
We’ve all been in bad mental places before, and for me that’s where the empathy comes from. It’s not worth ending the one life you have.

How terrible. Condolences to those who loved him.
