Glad he's doing well. My brother inlaw grew up with his older brother. Also, my wife's first cousin is the starting catcher for the Cajuns this year. Glad they're both having good seasons, can't say that I pull for their team.

But, CPM ran off Nicholson, Zeiglar, and a few more. all could help LSU this year. At some point it will catch up with his massive ego

Funny you mention this because 1/3 of Nicholson's starts this year have been against a combination of these very teams.

coaches all over make talent evaluation mistakes
we could use both for sure but neither would make us much better this year

You think the Sun Belt is equivalent to just a weekday matchup?
Yes.
Not sure how you could argue against that really.

But we were forced to acknowledge that the Sunbelt is the 6th best conference!

I like how when the schedule teams of who he has faced was posted, the OP is now nowhere to be found.

It's the rant, just a couple weeks ago we had people here shite talking about Terrance Tolliver for no legit reasons.

ULL fan, where do you think Nicholson would fit into lineup at LSU? He would not be a weekend starter. He likely is better than a couple of our younger pitchers but they have several years left to improve or to choose to play elsewhere.

Let's break down who he's started against this year and his numbers...
Nicholls State (RPI 163) - 7.0 IP, 5 H, 0 ER, 7 K, 0 BB, 1 HBP, 1 WP
Southern (RPI 222) - 4.0 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 0 K, 1 BB, 2 HBP
UC-Santa Barbara (RPI 126) - 5.0 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, 2 K, 1 BB
UL-Monroe (RPI 171) - 6.0 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 5 K, 3 BB, 1 HBP, 2 WP
Arkansas State (RPI 129) - 3.1 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, 3 K, 3 BB, 1 HBP
Rice (RPI 20) - 6.0 IP, 7 H, 0 ER, 4 K, 4 BB, 1 HBP
McNeese St (RPI 132) - 7.0 IP, 8 H, 3 ER, 2 K, 1 BB, 2 HBP
McNeese St (RPI 132) - 7.2 IP, 7 H, 1 ER, 5 K, 1 BB [Yes, played them twice]
UA-Little Rock (RPI 170) - 5.1 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 0 K, 2 BB, 1 HBP
So he's played 1 team all year worth a crap

The point remains that the Sun Belt is a good baseball league, there's not another baseball league that compares to the SEC but that doesn't mean there aren't other good leagues. Most LSU fans here are only fans of their team when they're doing well and want every kid to be cut and every coach to be fired when they lose a couple of games so I don't expect any sort of sanity from this place. I was just coming here to let y'all know a former Tiger was doing well. Also, his outing against Rice and his 96 pitch complete game last night shows that he could be dominating midweek games for LSU, but you're all right there's no need for a 4th pitcher in college baseball.

We have a 4th pitcher and his name is Ryan Eades... GTFO

It isn't like he didn't get numerous chances here. He was garbage.
7.09 ERA
26.2 IP
40 Hits allowed
21 Earned Runs
5 Walks
22 Strikeouts
5 HRs allowed
He was especially bad in his second year here when his ERA was 9.64, allowed 4 HRs in 14 IP, and the batting average against him was .397. His appearances during that terrible season were against:
Southern - 1 IP, 4 Hits, 1 Earned Run
Central Florida - 2 IP, 5 Hits, 3 Earned Runs
Illinois - 3 IP, 5 Hits, 3 Earned Runs
ULL - 1 IP, 1 Hit, 1 Run
Northwestern St. - 1 IP, 0 Hits, 0 Runs
South Carolina - 1 IP, 2 Hits, 3 Earned Runs
Harvard - 1.1 IP, 1 Hit, 0 Runs
Georgia - 0.1 IP, 3 Hits, 3 Earned Runs
Grambling St. - 0.1 IP, 0 Hits, 0 Runs
UNO - 2 IP, 4 Hits, 2 Earned Runs
Tennessee - 1 IP, 0 Hits, 0 Runs
ULL - 0 IP, 2 Hits, 0 Runs
In SEC games his line was:
2.1 IP, 5 Hits, 6 Earned Runs, .454 BA allowed, 23.18 ERA
It worked out well for ULL.
