besides shooting the basketball
I mean, I will fully admit I don’t watch a whole lot of NBA, but based up what I learned about basketball.....isn’t that kind of important?

What did you want from the kid?
Most people just wanted him to care a little bit. I'm sure there was more to it, but it seemed like he was an instant chemistry killer at LSU
Honestly, we likely would have been a better team that year without him. Far less talented, but the guys wouldn't have folded the way they did. Tim Quarterman should be allowed to beat Johnny's arse for how he was treated. The guy was a stud for us until Jones gave his role away to Simmons without having to earn it.

an accurate comment he made about having to play college basketball
That comment was bullshite, though. He could have went straight to the NBA without playing in college. They knew he had to go to college when he enrolled to play high school in the US. He should bitch at his dad if he has a problem with it.

Not saying it isn't. But when you are one of the top players in the league at everything else and you still bang in 15 pts a night playing pt guard at 6”11……..you bring serious things to the table. Maybe that isn't obvious to some people, but it should be.

Such bullshite post hoc reasoning. The team sucked, so it MUST be because the best player didn't try hard enough. Ignore the record setting stats he put up, the games were he individually carried the team, the dominant play on the court. If the team loses the only explanation is that the best player must have caused all the problems.

Yeah, because the next year the team sure was better without him

You sound like a whiny bitch. Competitors want the best players to play. Ben Simmons is about 10,000 times better at basketball than Tim Quarterman; that's how he earned it.

omeone that skilled with his size advantages should be able to do better than that.
He IMHO has developed a Jon Lester type mental block when it comes to shooting. It's beyond going out and shooting 500 practice shots just like for Lester it's beyond throwing 500 pick off throws to first...it's mental.

That means you aent an all around player. My gosh you guys are dumb

To be fair, his biggest accomplishment at LSU was to piss off LSU fans. I guess his only accomplishment really.

Saying the LSU team would have been better without Simmons is one of most retarded statements I’ve read on this board, and that’s saying something.

Welp...that's the end result of having Johnny Jones as your chemistry instructor.

Tim Quarterman?
You think Tim Quarterman was a “stud” averaging 11.5/5/4 in 2015 but Simmons “didn’t earn” his role on the team when he posted 19.8/11/4.8?

Are you too dense to understand there are a ton of other aspects to the game of basketball other than shooting? I literally said besides shooting the basketball. Funny thing is you calling others dumb imo.

I’ll remember that record of his.

Explain why Simmons was rookie of the year and quarterman is kicking rocks.
Simmons led LSU in about every important stat while Q was sulking.
If we had another Simmons type player, last season, we probably would have won it all.

NBA is a PoS league. Simple as that. Players are bitches today that only want to build “super teams”. I have zero respect and have long quit watching.
thanks for letting us have a peak behind the curtains.

You cannot be an "ALL around" player and not be a good shooter.
That's exactly against what all around means

Even with his other amazing skills after 0-9 coach needs to give him 100 free throws every day until things get better. Fundamentals. Practice. It doesn’t go away even at this level. Tim Duncan.
