Claims nfl threatened to kill his pension last year when he began taking about subject by says he'll sue them if they try it again.

Cliffs:

quote:

In this video, former NFL defensive tackle and national champion Breiden Fehoko shares his perspective on why he believes the NFL and college football are rigged. Now that he is retired and no longer subject to league control, he feels free to speak openly about what he witnessed behind the scenes.

Key takeaways:

Officiating and Game Outcomes: Fehoko argues that officials influence game results, spreads, and over/under totals through specific, questionable penalty calls.

Ownership Intervention: He alleges that NFL owners often intervene in game strategy via direct phone lines to the sidelines, sometimes to ensure players do not meet performance-based incentives

The Jalen Hurts Saga: Fehoko and guest Tony Farmer discuss the suspicious timeline surrounding Jalen Hurts being placed on injured reserve, questioning the Eagles' medical management and transparency

Gambling and Media: The discussion highlights the interconnectedness of the NFL, sports betting, and media insiders, suggesting that these relationships incentivize the manipulation of game narratives

110% think this happens and I don’t even think it’s a hot take at this point.

I would say this doesn’t make it rigged, all major pro sports do this to some extent - more like tilted odds vs here is the storyline and here is who wins like WWE

If this is true, there is nothing remaining sacred in this world.

Our entire lives have been a lie.

Anything Fehoko says is for clicks to his pod/social media. He’s the Gilbert Arenas of NFL pod casters

I don't think that officials try to "rig" games for particular teams, but I do think they influence games to keep them closer. I don't think the NFL cares who wins the game, they just want them to be close so that people stay tuned in and don't turn them off. It's all about the TV ratings and getting a larger media rights deal.

How did I know this was going to be Fehoko before even clicking the thread (and no, I had no idea who he played for once he was in the league)

He might be right but I would much prefer to hear it come out of literally any other former player’s mouth

Bingo. Feels like the sports version of a has been actress making accusations from decades ago. Could be true but the timing makes me suspicious.

He is trying so hard to become 'a thing' he's destroyed whatever credibility he might have had as a former player. He is 100% a byproduct of the age of social media.

Fehoeko is a mouthbreathing idiot that says stupid shite to try and get attention. He's trying to be an influencer because he's too stupid to make it doing anything else. Not sure how anyone can take this dude seriously.

I don’t think this is true at all. Rigging things like he suggests are federal crimes. Not to mention the massive lawsuits that could come of it.

The league makes so much and there is so much to lose for very little benefit they could gain from rigging games.

It makes no logical sense that the league is rigged.

The only thing that could make sense is specific rogue actors like the crooked NBA ref who had money on games.

ETA:

Rigged NFL: It’s Not Just The Refs; The Professional Actor “Players” Are In On It Too
quote:

As an entertainment business, the NFL makes its money from the major networks that pay to broadcast their games, drawing hundreds of advertising partners to pay for ad space during every NFL game. We must ask ourselves: why does a 60-minute game with a 15-minute halftime, take up nearly four hours of programming?

Because the NFL is a TV show. And just like every TV show, it’s been scripted beforehand. The only difference is that it’s being filmed and broadcast live in front of our eyes. It’s like a live play shown across the country. The story has already been scripted, with its actors playing their parts.

This brings us to the hidden reveal in Dwight Smith’s courageous appearance on talk radio in 2020. What is he saying exactly? Well, he’s saying that the players are somewhat involved in this rigging of NFL games.

Recent players like Benny Cunningham, Larry Johnson, Junior Galette, and Chris Borland have all blown the whistle on signing non-disclosure agreements contractually obligating them to go along with the script. Raiders’ wide receivers Tim Brown and Jerry Rice called this out after the same 2003 Super Bowl:

So, he talks about the NFL being rigged, and the worst that happens…supposedly…is the NDL threatens to take away his pension?

As if no other people/organizations would have anything to say?

Look at the entire effort by the NFL to get a west coast audience, the last big domestic market not fully reached. Everything was so heavily tilted to establish the Rams with their new stadium and then have them get into a Super Bowl. The broad strokes show the patterns of influence

Fehoko wasn’t good enough for the nfl and is desperately trying to stay fend off a lifetime of anonymity by posting twitter hot takes. Anyone who listens to him is an idiot.
