He had a nasty off speed pitch when it was working. Unfortunately, I don't remember him pitching much in the CWS because Trey Hodges just locked down everyone coming out of the bullpen.

And he went on to greatness once he got away from CPM? Mainieri did a poor job recruiting, but given the talent he was a great coach. If he didn’t play the guy there was a valid reason.
