This seems to happen with many national writers and TV guys.
Our fan base reads or hears them say something that we construe as anti-LSU, and we deluge them with nasty emails and Twitter diatribes.
The writer or TV guy then responds with contempt toward the school, based largely upon what the email and Twitter knuckleheads have said to them.
It’s a flat circle. Our fans could avoid it by not sending “f-off, you d*ckhead” Tweets and emails to the Fordes, Christine Brennans, Dick Vitales, Gary Danielsons and Nancy Armours, but some of you can’t help it, I guess.

It’s probably more clicking on the stories. His bosses wouldn’t let him continue to write about LSU if no one read his stuff about them.

i once interviewed for 2 different jobs. they were both basically mine for the taking. i ended up choosing the job with longer travel time, a little less pay and equal job responsibilities. it was just the job i wanted and felt more comfortable with. ended up being the right choice for me and ive been here 12 years. best job ive ever had. no one FAILED to close the deal with me. my decison. there was nothing more either place could do to sell me. i just made my decison on what i thought was the better fit. the O failed narrative is tired. maybe woodward should field the blame. O can only do so much to recruit a coach. this isnt a living room meeting with parents in monroe.

on 1/14/21 at 7:51 am to BigTiger80Freeman was the only miss and I would hardly fault O on that one. Freeman wants a stepping stone to a premier HC position. ND is still one of the highest if not the highest profile programs for national exposure.
I understand ND typically gets blown out in the Playoff scenario; however, the typically excel in the regular season portion which is the body of work other programs consider when hiring a new coach (they typically hire coaches in between end of regular season and playoffs).
