Screaming at Les Miles, frick, EVERYONE screaming at Les Miles to put in Lee, only to no avail, will forever be etched in my brain as THE most hurtful time as a Tiger. It was there, in our grasp, and all we ever wanted in that moment of strangled hopes and dreams was for Les Miles to get over whatever the frick it was that he was pissed at Lee about and to pull out JJ, who had a look in his eyes like that of a deer caught in the headlights.

LSU may not have won that game even if Lee had gone in to replace JJ, but Les Miles robbed the Tigers faithful of their hopes and dreams that night with his damned stubbornness to make a change.

This season helps. It's been magical, and whether they hoist the hardware when it's over, or not, I have ZERO doubt that our coaches will play it smart, work together as a TEAM and give LSU the very best chance to win the championship it deserves this year.

When LSU removed the Tumor that was Les Miles, I turned the page.

helps no doubt but we will never get that EXACT chance again and how miles blew it with his stupidity and stubborness.

only a natty game beating bama would help erase that. has to be same teams in natty

Absolutely for me.

This season as a literal redemption for all the downslide that started occurring that night and after. It will be poetic.

Redemption arc 1/9/12 to 1/13/20, a chapter that started in shite in NOLA and ends in triumph in NOLA.

That sting has faded somewhat over the last 8 years but yes winning an NC with A heisman QB will close that wound.

ETA: I think the measure is how excited I will be for LSU football before future seasons start and 01/20 won't have any impact anymore win or lose this next game.

That walk back to the hotel from the Dome after that game, through the sea of Gumps, is something i’ll never forget... The only way that pain could ever be erased for me personally is if we somehow go on to have some type of dynasty, meaning we win it all this year with Joe, then win it all next year with Myles, and then a couple more times in the near future.

Jefferson gave LSU the best chance to win that game.

That pain will never ever go away. This season and that season are completely different, yet will always be part of being a Tiger fan!

Amazing as this season has been and it has been truly amazing, if we don't win it all it will be just as painful.

Same look Lee had in Tuscaloosa before he got pulled. The fact is, the Tigers didn't have the right plays or game plan that night. Alabama/Saban's defensive game plan and play smoked LSU.

To answer the OP: When the Tigers walked out of Tuscaloosa with the win this year, I forgot about the beat down from last year. I get up for the start of the season every year. I don't dwell on past victories or defeats. I enjoy when the Tigers are winning and feel bad for THEM when they lose and that, I believe, is the way to be a fan.
