They are separate seasons.

Nothing will take away the sting of disappointment and embarrassment of the inept offense crossing the 50 back then, but it was back then. I never think of it anymore. It was great, fun season capped in an unfortunate manner.

This year has been more enjoyable because it has been exciting, record breaking. Let's face it, it's been a joy to watch incredible performance after incredible performance. Winning It all would be the pinnacle of LSU football achievement and nothing would come close.

This team, if they finish the deal, would be the biggest shot in the arm for Louisiana's image since the 1958 team put LSU and Louisiana on the map.

I wish we had the real story about why Les wouldn’t pull Jefferson and why Herbert didn’t play. I wish the truth would come out. Not just speculation or in general terms but the actual story of what went down.

To answer the OP: When the Tigers walked out of Tuscaloosa with the win this year, I forgot about the beat down from last year. I get up for the start of the season every year. I don't dwell on past victories or defeats. I enjoy when the Tigers are winning and feel bad for THEM when they lose and that, I believe, is the way to be a fan.

Exactly, I may still get pissed a little when I think about it, but no way do I dwell on games week to week much less 10 years ago.

Only idiots like you carry around the memory of a game for more than a week.

I don't have any more pain from 1/9/12.

Every major program has disappointments. It's part of being elite, you wiil lose some games at the highest stage. Bama, Clemson, 2000s USC, early 2000s Miami, they all lost championship games.

If as a fan you experience pain from a game 9 years ago you got problems and/or are a pussy

At least LSU won the SEC in 2011.
How are you doing with the more recent 2018 29-0 beatdown, in our own house, and not remotely close to even winning the West?

No way. Only an apology from Les himself could begin to ease that pain. He doesn’t get let off the hook for the great job his replacement is doing.

Les needs to be permanently tied to that game as an example of what NOT to do when you’re in a position of leadership.

Sorry but y’all got problems if the Bama game this year didn’t exorcise all that. As far as football goes I’ve been on Cloud Nine since about 3:30 PM on November 9th. Ray Thornton’s fumble recovery and Joe’s perfect bomb to JaMarr over Diggs was the loudest slamming of the book you could ask for.

I never think of that game (1-9-12) although I was in attendance at that game. I got over it quickly.

Add Ohio State to elite teams that have lost national title games. It happens

Still upset at Les for that game. Les quit on LSU before the game started.
