re: For those who think we can't go 10-2 or 11-1. Here are future spreads:

late td's don't count?
I mean they can if it makes you feel better
In reality, it was literally given to us to burn clock
So if us being in such a bad spot where a 75 yard TD is effectively kneeling the ball for the other team looks better to you, believe what you want

Sad thing is I don't think this board realizes they have a QB who's capable of shredding us like Travis did.
Do not compare Will Rogers to Jordan Travis.

We're 1-3 in our last 4 games. Idc what the spread is

I think we get to 7-1 going into Alabama game, and finish 10-2. Our biggest game of the season is now @ Ole Miss. We should win the next 3, beat Ole Miss and you’re looking at a top 6 matchup in Tuscaloosa.
Agree with this!

Vegas would take them off if they weren't accurate

It all depends on what kinda hype the game gets. If expectations are low, I trust BK. As soon as the games get important...we know big game Brian is choking on a big one.

For those who think we can't go 10-2 or 11-1. Here are future spreads:
Mississippi State: -9
Arkansas: -13.5
Ole Miss: -4.5, -5
Mizzou: unavailable but should be high
Auburn: -14.5 to -16.5
Army: unavailable
Alabama: +6.5 to +7
Florida: -16 to -16.5
A&M: -9.5 to -10
It's interesting. I thought the polls would drop us to around #18, better than what most people I talked to thought, and we end up at #14.
So, it seems pre-season and after week 1 people outside of the program have a higher opinion of us than we do. We'll see how that holds up.
The golden rule in college football is you're never as good or as bad as you think.
That said, how many times have we drummed Auburn and Florida by more than 2 tds? These lines suck, even if you look at week one through purple & gold colored glasses.

I didn't compare him to Travis. I said he's good enough to shred us like Travis did. Big difference. Though they looked like shite in their new offense other day but he has put the numbers up in the SEC.

Give me an Auburn and A&M plus the points parlay.
And I’d be happy to lose those bets.

As of right now all those dogs look like really good bets to me.

You should bet $1000 on over 9 wins then.

Well, this just isn't an 11-win team. I will be beyond pleased to eat crow on that.
Now, this time last year, I felt that 8-4 or 9-3 was the team's ceiling and they beat those expectations. But, that team didn't just give up 6 straight scores and the worst defensive scoring effort in a half for the program going back 15 years.
So, there's all of that.

That Auburn line for sure is a take right now. LSU struggles with Auburn every year to put up points and I guarantee Auburn will put up points this year with Freeze. Can LSU and JD keep up? I don’t think so.

none of these spreads are adjusted. this is exactly the stuff they had back in May

What was the spread Sunday night Nostradumbass?
Posted on 9/6/23 at 2:21 pm to LSUTitan99
Spread just confirms everyone s thoughts that LSU will be favored in every game, except Alabama.

Going into the season, I called 10-2, and expected a loss at Alabama.
I thought we'd be motivated for revenge in the Fla State game, but figured it was one of a couple we COULD lose.
Arkansas with KJ Jefferson, A&M with the stockpile of recruits, those are possible losses, but they're home games. I think we win those. Auburn and Florida are traditional rivals, and again- home games. I think we win.
Miss State and Ole Miss- road games. State is post-Leach, so I just don't think they will be good. Ole Miss has Lane Kiffin and a good RB, that game is dangerous. That was one I figured might be the biggest risk of losing (outside of Bama).
Maybe I'm biased, but I continue to just not care about Mizzou , and I don't think Army, Grambling or Georgia State have a prayer.
At this point, I'm more leaning towards 9-3, because I think we probably drop another SEC game besides Bama. But I don't expect worse than 8-4, and I COULD still see 10-2 happening.

This is a 6-6 or 7-5 team. We’ll win 1 or 2 we’re not supposed to win and lose 2-3 we shouldn’t lose. This team is not very good.
