Then how do you explain 11 runs against Missouri and just 2 against Southern?

Missouri is in the SEC and Southern is not.
That's all you need to know.
It's baseball.

The same way you explain the best teams in the MLB losing to the worse teams. It’s fricking baseball bitch.

Southern probably started their ace and we didn’t even start one of our 3 weekend starters (not that we should have). Also, these midweek opponents want nothing more than to beat LSU, while LSU doesn’t seem to care.

I don't understand why people get so up in arms over a harmless and appropriate phrase like that. Baseball a game of random outcomes. That's why they play so many games in order to determine a team's worth. Anyone flipping their shite over the slightest hint of adversity just doesn't understand the game or is overly emotional. Simple as that.

I just keep telling myself it’s early and that this team is full of kids that are just great competitors and love to compete. I remind myself before every game that this is a game of inches. When things go wrong, I don’t point fingers at coaches who deserve criticism. I simply remind myself that...

That’s just baseball.

17 runs against Southern the first time. 2 the next. Baseball is a game of averages.

I feel like people aren’t taking your question seriously, and it seems like you’re a newer fan of the sport, so I’ll answer it truthfully.

That’s just baseball.

More difficult to be UP for a midweek game against a weaker opponent that you have traditionally dominated-- anyone that has ever competed knows this.

Are you saying LSU ONLY plays baseball, as in just baseball? Because I know that to be factually incorrect. LSU participates in many other sports. Softball, golf, football, basketball... well maybe not basketball moving forward but last year, basketball.
