I live in Dallas. By the by, Arlington is not Dallas, it is Ft Worth. This post is really a PSA: Arlington is a shite hole. Think, say, Baker, LA on a Friday night (no, it is not quite that cool). The only thing you will pick up at the local bar is herpes. There is a decent strip club or two that you have a 50/50 shot of not getting crabs from the seats but other than that, make the drive to Dallas (only 15 minutes max).

Yeah that has pretty much been my experience in Dallas..stay at the Plano marriott with work alot. I've seen prices on the referenced t-shirts at $300 a pop at the "legacy shops". Always liked downtown Ft. Worth myself, sundance square etc...much more laid back not nearly as much douche as Dallas.

The hottest chicks in those places usually are sucking those guys dry for every penny they've got.

I think you are mistaking Arlington for Grand Prairie. Admittedly there isn't a big party scene in Arlington, but it's not really a shithole. It's suburbia... with a giant stadium dropped in the middle of it.

Dallas,,, Yep!

Ft. Worth is much better for going out on the town and talking to girls! Plus you can get a hotel down town Ft. Worth and pretty much walk from your hotel out to eat, drink, etc... However, the game is in Jerry Land about 15 miles from down town Ft. Worth and Dallas. With Traffic – 30 minutes to an Hour.

Both are fun places to stay and if you know your way around or with someone who does, there are tons of great restaurants in both cities. Just don't stay in the mid cities near the stadium - what ever you do! That would be a mistake...

Go to the right places uptown where the SMU crowd goes... Problem solved. I'm not giving out my places though.

I like Fort Worth. I've stayed in Arlington once and there was ZERO to do or places to eat after 10 pm at the time, but that was some years ago. Don't have that problem in FW. I wouldn't compare the two cities at all.

It'll take some time, but now that the stadium is there the "recreational opportunities" should grow. It's got a big Asian population so if you like any of that food (sushi, pho, Thai, Indian, etc.) you can find it.

Ft. Worth is better then Dallas overall IMO. Arlington is okay for a suburban environment. I think most people realize Arlington isn't Dallas or even a Ft. Worth. Mid cities area in general is more family oriented (hell i live in the mid cities area more for convenience of work) and less night life in general.

Since Arlington (49) is much bigger than Baton Rouge (88) how can you compare it to Baker (pop. 11K maybe).
