Sausage Picks

Posted by The SMS on 11/15/14 at 9:01 am
Live in Dallas but go home frequently and stock up on sausage. I usually hit Jacobs (LaPlace) and D&J and Lamendolas in Gonzales. I like local made (ie not factory made) and have found good results with locally owned gas station type spots. Any recommendations so I can further explore? Smoked and Andouille is my focus and the smokies the better. TIA

GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!

frick it! We had a great season and ran into a buzz saw...it happens! Most teams do not get as far as we did so we should be thankful to have a team that is finishing ranked as high as we are with a great returning group of kids and a great recruiting class.
YOU BETTER CHECK YOURSELF BEFORE I WRECK YOURSELF, HOTSHOT.

You see my point? What a count. You have any more early 90s sayings there for me?

Very serious question about Bama

Ever notice what a bunch of douchy douche nozzles the Alabama fans are?

Fellow Alum & Fans, Welcome to Dallas!

I am glad all of you are coming to Dallas. A few tips for food/drinks:

1. City: Ritz Carlton is great. Excellent bar scene and food. Anywhere in the uptown area especially along Mckinney Street is great. Nick & Sams is the best steak in this part of town

2. Downtown: sucks, don't bother.

3. North Dallas/Addison area: excellent selection of food places. I would recommend Del Frisco on Spring Valley and the Tollway. Mercy is a happening Wine Bar on Beltline & the Tollway.

4. Arlington: shite hole of a town, try to avoid. It is akin to Chalmette.

5. Ft. Worth: stockyards is kind of like going on a road trip and going to Stuckeys. Downtown is pretty cool though with the Pour House and Flying Saucer.

Again, welcome, glad we have some more LA people to class this town up a bit. GEAUX TIGERS!

I have the strap off of one of the purses that Larry Foster stole in the quad.

re: sugar bowl parking?

Posted by The SMS on 1/3/11 at 9:27 pm to
No. Go over the really big bridge and take the first exit on the right before you get to the tollbooth. Plenty of parking right there.
I live in Dallas. By the by, Arlington is not Dallas, it is Ft Worth. This post is really a PSA: Arlington is a shite hole. Think, say, Baker, LA on a Friday night (no, it is not quite that cool). The only thing you will pick up at the local bar is herpes. There is a decent strip club or two that you have a 50/50 shot of not getting crabs from the seats but other than that, make the drive to Dallas (only 15 minutes max).

And a posting for CLM's great year

Maybe not the most popular opinion however I think that CLM did one of the best coaching jobs I have ever seen with the results of this season. Why?

1. He had every chance to lose that team this year and kept them together

2. The media was blasting this guy and his team stayed focused to win 10 games

3. We did not have any of our kids talking to the media OR getting into trouble

Yes, we are going to miss the BCS but we go 10 wins. Yes, we are not going to take the West but there is no stopping Cam. So, having said this, I think this is his best coaching job in his tenure with LSU.

GREAT SEASON GUYS!!!!

We finished 10-2 in the SEC. That is about 4 wins more than most people predicted. We were not playing for a bowl yesterday (a la UGA, Tenn) and we do not have our head coach getting shite canned after the game (a la Miami & Vandy). Rather, we were 1 game away from a BCS bowl game and finish with a 10 win season! Great season!!!
That aint shite. I threw a pigskin over a mountain one time.
Dude...I ate urin covered Cheerios one time...not that bad when you're stoned.
Saban? Seban? Seaman? That's it, thanks.

You heard it here, Saben spotting

Verne is a count. If he were to ever lose his job as a 'broadcaster' he could surely get the job as the Maryland Mascot or a fluff boy for German skat films.

THIS Tiger Team

Damn...I am so happy. I just finished the game (recorded...I was traveling). I cannot even begin to express how happy I am for these guys and how proud I am to be lucky enough to have attended THE Louisiana State University!!!! This team played it's arse off all game. They looked sharp, they looked determined, they looked like a team that wanted to win.

Props to Nevis. You represent all that is good about football.

Props to K. Shep. You represent a true leader.

Props to JJ. I am impressed that you did not give up.

For those Bamers reading this thread, frick off! Put your gay plaid hat on and go sit in the corner and masturbate to the pictures of that racist frick Bear Bryant! Better yet, go hit the Wal Mart in whatever one horse, backwoods shite hole, AL you live in and buy a new pom pom and then swiftly shoove it up your pee hole!
You know, if that were me, on my home turf and some backwoods, shine drinkin, sister fricking gump said some shite like that, I would have calmly extrated my penis and pissed all over his country bumpkin arse. Alabama fans, with thier cool late 80s/early 90s woosh bangs, pom poms and plaid hats can collectivly frick themselves. frick you Bama. You lose again.
jlc, I should state that fantastic is relative to the product we've seen the past two years.
Yes, CLM is a tool but the team is having some really bright spots in spite of his idiotic game management.

Our defense is straight up sick. Isn't this the defense that everybody was saying had an undersized line? Chavis for President.

Our O-line is look fantastic.

JL looked pretty good (go ahead and scream but he topped 100 yds). IF he has a whole game and knows he is going to stay in, he will be less likely to force plays (a la over the top throw into the middle of the field). Also, he LEADS the team and does not complain after he misses a throw.

Nevis is as good as we've seen in a long time. I think he will have a better senior year than did Dorsey.

PP7.

#14 (I can say his name, can't spell it) is going to be a beast as he progresses.

Mingo is going to be a beast as he progresses.

Ridley is an example of what makes College Football great.

CLM is still a tool.

An alternate strategy is to accept his nice offer and attend the game with the firms clients. Then, when you arrive, wear something really flashly, like maybe a pimp outfit. While attending the game with firm clients, then inform them that your boss is using tax overages on thier returns to fund a porn site and that you have pictures of him doing blow off of a hookers arse. Either way, you come out ahead.
