Meh, i wont say that i HATE O, but i definitely dont respect him as a person, leader, or face of LSU football. They guy is a loose cannon who throws players and coaches under the bus IMMEDIATELY when the blame gets pushed in his direction. He wants to fight the media when they question his direction, gets in scuffles with coaches at practice, etc.

Plenty of evidence that he's not a great human being.

Yeah I don't hate O, but agree here. He strikes me as a slimy political type. Can't stand those kind of folks. And his decisions and press conference, when you can understand them, are just things he knows people want to hear.

Admittedly, he does that extremely well, and it was probably the main reason he was hired - he said all of the right "anti-Miles" philosophy, which is really what a simple group of fans and Alleva wanted to hear.. And hasn't really followed through on it. Typical politician.

11-2 with no historically bad losses and I’ll shut up for next year.

Long term he needs some hardware in the next few seasons

could go along with this.. but his ego will be his downfall... if he has success its because he allowed his coaches to coach..Ala, Aranda... so the success wouldnt be because of him... its because of aranda, or maybe ensminger... that will eat him up and he will f**k it up somehow.. He is not a very intelligent or wise man... Aranda is Both...

Either way, he still has to keep fans like me, you and fat bastard, along with the other "haters" that stopped spending all of their money. Isn't that what this thread is supposed to be about anyways?

I stopped spending money when I felt the program was heading in the wrong direction with no effort being made to fix the problems. That happened when Les was sliding. I haven't re-purchased anything with the hire of ED O.

We're still not heading in the right direction IMO.

I find it hard to argue that logic. IMO, everyone should do what they believe they need to do to make LSU a better football team. If you believe that's boycotting games and buying merchandise to make your voice heard to demand a winner, I say do it.

Live up to his word. Hire the best coaches and let them coach. Quit meddling in the offense.

Win 10+ games most seasons. Win the SEC.

He was not hired on a rebuild. Last season, with the easiest schedule we had in quite some time was a golden opportunity and he blew it.

examples? CLM did the same thing...remember the ole miss clock debacle? you can't throw a player under the bus worse than he did in that game

When Joe Alleva named O the head coach he did so with the promise of raising the program back to national prominence. O has done exactly 0 to raise LSU back into the national championship picture. Wins over two teams with winning records, had the worst loss in 112-year series with Mississippi State and suffered the worst loss in the history of the 125 years of LSU football losing to Troy in Tiger Stadium. With all that being said, anything short of winning the SEC West and going to Atlanta and playing for the SEC title will be less than satisfactory to me. LSU went from winning 10 games a year and competing for SEC and National Championships, to fans now hoping for seven or eight win seasons. Which brings about the question - How did LSU fall to this level? Answer: Joe Alleva
