I'm not excusing some of the other breakdowns in the way lsu is coached but so many people seem to be confused and not believe pm when he says some of these pitchers are coming to lsu with pre existing conditions/problems...here is what he means...I see this shite all the dam time...

Let me tell you even in high school, when a kid reaches high school or college for that matter, when a kid has any type of issue "arm wise", i can promise you 150 percent that it will be exposed when he joins a real team with real correct formative stages to each position when it comes to throwing drills etc, esp pitching that emphasizes stretching, short toss into long toss, constant near daily long tossing, bullpen etc, live batter workouts that occur over a period of weeks or months not in 3 days where soreness and injuries occur. The said pitcher will rehab injury or soreness and do it again without proper things that need to surround that pitcher first.
I can tell you that usually at some point the injury or arm problem will come out. I can also tell you that when "taught right" a kid who pitches for example should not even see the mound for the first 6 weeks of training at least, first to build up properly but what kids do and coaching wanna bees do is have kids in summer leagues of any kind just show up and throw, and throw hard. Eventually, this is where the arm issue begins, coupled with doing it year round and no break and no correct training regimen. There is no stretching half the time, no proper long toss for so many minutes a day, no "conditioning" paired with the throwing/toss afterwards etc. Here is a big one, they jump right into "the bull pen" without "several weeks" of first just having good stretching, long toss to limber(is this a word) the arm, lots of conditioning and weights tied in to rehab what is broken down during a throwing session. I cannot say enough how important "proper mechanics" of throwing toss and even pitchers mechanics for weeks and weeks first before actually hitting your bullpen workouts are also a science within itself. So before all this mentioned above, when a baseball player especially a pitcher isn't receiving constant "rehab" for his arm meaning teaching correct techniques, not enough lead up workouts(for ex, long toss only using a change up grip, for less stress in beginning on arm and shoulder before u use the regular grip), no conditioning(for ex. all pitchers should have to condition(16 poles for ex.) after any type of throwing session whatever their regimen is every single day), weights daily and doing the correct lifts, being taught proper mechanics(toss and pitching for ex). When a pitcher doesn't have a proper coach to make positive these things are occurring or surrounding a pitcher, he will break down, it will happen. Some hide it on the way to lsu but the problem comes right out in a regular program of arm routines for throwing and pitching because their arms are not accustomed to correct long term work...the issue sticks out like a sore thumb. When the problem comes out in the "first" year of college ,100 percent guaranteed that's what the problems is. A real baseball coach understands exactly what I'm saying. PM may have his share of flaws but I believe him when he says the kid shows up that way and the issue comes out diring their regimens...facts....see it all the time

coaching high school baseball and coaching college has 1 difference, resources. When done correctly the coaching is no different.

Didn’t read. But I have several friends who barely made a year of college ball due to being overworked in high school. When a high school coach has a stud, he’s gonna pitch him as much as possible; and competitors don’t pass up on the ball.

True, but your thread is not required reading, and nobody is going to read all that shite unless you make it presentable and easier on the eyes.

You can dig in your heels if you want, but what I said in the above paragraph is the truth.

Again, there are no prerequisites nor do I care, it's there for information, if u don't like it ,don't reply much less read it and nor do I care about your opinion. People who read here that are coaches, was intended for coaches who read it and understand. Obviously your not a coach nor is the other guy. Stick to English class.

TLDR

Just want to add that Cole Henry just said on AFR that Mainieri does not mess around with arm injuries. He said point blank, if you tell Mainieri about anything you are feeling, he's taking you out of the game, immediately.

BUT MANARA PULMONARY MARINARA IS THE CAUSE OF ARM INJURY

I'll read the wall of text later

if you read the post you would know that these problems don't manifest themselves until a proper throwing regimen is introduced
