That is 100% horse shite

Donate 100 a year get your 3 points for about 6 or 7 years and you can pick up a pair. Do you plan to die in 7 years?

We fired LSU's winningest head coach and promoted our defensive line coach to head coach, what did you expect?

This should have happened earlier.

I gave up 4 in SEZ also. I just always go to our out of town feature opening game so I decided to just use the ticket money on the trip! Will work out quite well. I save about 4500 and don't have to even hassle with paid parking.

The home schedule sucks. And it will always suck having 4 conference games a year that are the supposed good games. The other 4 are terrible. Always.

After 30 years, I am going to spend the annual outlay on travel, nice TV's and the comfort of my living room.

Again, just a lot easier and more pleasant to watch from the comfort of the recliner in front of the HDTV with the bathroom ten feet away.

With all these ads, video, and light show, I feel like I am inside a pinball machine at Tiger Stadium, not to mention all the TV timeouts. As someone said, games used to have a "rhythm." Now they are disjointed with interminable pauses.

I agree. This bubble is about to burst. By watering down the product, raising the prices, taking fans for granted re: parking, etc., the Athletic Department has sowed the wind.

They're about to reap the whirlwind.

We dropped our 4 season tickets in the South Endzone this year for the first time in 10 years.
Smart move.

You can walk right up to Tiger Stadium and purchase good seats for any game at much below face.
(5-15 bucks for most games; a little more for the big SEC games at night)

The only game that's even remotely difficult in finding a ticket is Alabama every other year.

People are tired of throwing their money away on Season Tickets (And all the associated fees) for these ridiculous, non-competitive non-conference games against the likes of Southern Idaho State Polytechnic and their Ilk.

Combine this with all the parking hassles and the game long annoying/irritating recorded musical garbage that's spewed out into the stadium, many long-time fans are saying "Been There....Done That.....Enough is Enough. They're giving up the ST's in favor of buying tickets outside.

That way, you can attend the games you really want to attend, not feel guilty about not going and not having to hassle with trying to sell an unused ticket.

Dropped ours 2013. Had been in the family since the late 50's

Really just got tired of paying for games like New Mexico St and a few others while the big matchups are being played in Houston and Dallas.

I get the exposure part and am not knocking it. But I figured I'm come out better paying $500-$700 for the 2-3 games I wanted to go to vs paying the taf fees and season ticket costs for a slate of games that 60% of them were boring.

Also as I've gotten older, tailgating from 6am Saturday morning till 1-2am Sunday morning gets tougher to recover from. I'd be hurting on Tuesday still. This 6-8 times a season whooped my arse. Just easier to watch it on a big screen now and go to the ones I want to.

This is what I have been doing and it works. I have had access to good seats in the North and South end zones. Usually the sideline seats are gone by my pick day but those are more than I want to spend anyway.

PS I buy my tickets with no TAF fees (seats on 35 YL half way up) from a lady in Illinois. I just get on the waiting list in case my deal with her falls through. Also I know other people that buy secondhand with no TAF fees. Just have to find the right seller.

Pretty eye opening thread... feels like we're at a tipping point.

Years of terrible schedules, price increases and a general stagnation starting to take its toll.

I would love to get my hands on 2 affordable season tickets, but honestly I have no idea how to go about doing that because of the "point system" and all that crap.

I have a question for regular season ticket holders.

This is the first year I attempt to buy them through LSU (not second hand).

The price for a season ticket this year is $425 for 6 home games. Is this less than last year's price for 7 games?

There are virtually no seats open in the west sideline. That is far different then the last few years.

Mentioned there are lots of seats available in the South End Zone particularly.
no one wants to sit there, all the people I talk to want west club section first and south club next , and there's a waiting list a mile long for those .

Why does EVERY Good OOC game have to be at a remote location? Do it every other year at least so loyal fans stay season ticket holders.

It will be very bad when there is a bad schedule and you dont get to take advantage of season ticket holders any more. Fans are beyond pissed when we pay for 7 and get 6 games while having a shite schedule to boot.

SEZ since 95' but have had tickets in several sections over the tears. It has been a toss up the last two years as to whether I keep them or not. LSU as a whole no longer cares about season ticket holders, simply because the tickets will sell if you give them up. LSU has for the most part killed the atmosphere of the past for a more pay to tailgate crowd. The paying crowd today is not what made tailgating at LSU the best in the world they just inherited it from those that had little but put it all into Tiger football. Say what you will but the old get there early and grab the best spot made for enthusiastic campus from one end to the other and it was a Mom and Pop feel.

Money rules but that does not make it equal to what came before. There is no going back, but I believe the attendance over the next three to five years will cause changes. People like the ones posting here are going to stop going in greater and greater numbers which will require them to sell the game day atmosphere.
It will be fascinating to watch how they go about this because SEC money can float the program but not the six to ten million per year to the academic side. That will cause Vice Chancellor Aleva employment woes quicker than "O" going 7-5.

I gave mine up and won't return until they build the Les Miles statue, allow beer, put Mike in the trailer, actually pick up trash from the tailgates, and play Neck at the start of each 3rd quarter.
