Following NC, 2 strong classes, does pressure mount for Johnson with another poor season?

I think it's safe to say that Johnson's job is very secure at this point, but Cajuns are not known for their patience, so can he afford another dismal season and still be safe or does his seat begin to get a little warm?
I think everyone likes Johnson as HC, but two bad seasons following a NC season isn't going to go over well with any fan base. Next season is not a make or break season, but he can't afford another disaster without the pressure starting to build up.

If he had another historically bad season in 2027 I would at least start asking questions. I'm not asking any questions right now.

Johnson has proven that when he has time to recruit the portal, success follows. It’s the years following a short window of the portal that he struggles. The difference between this year and last is that he got proven talent vs potential talent.

LSU just got a prospect on the Dylan Crew/Derek Curiel level. Just got the number 1 high school class and signed multiple highly ranked players in the portal. This is what you're thinking about?

He's won 2 out of the last 4. It's gonna take a pretty dismal season again for anyone to even start asking questions. For the record, he's not having another season like that this season.

Nope, CJJ is putting it together. You do understand how difficult it is to have back to back NCs don't you. We fell a few pieces short for another run last year, but look at the production we lost after the NC. Especially on the mound.

Sure, let’s let him go to a competitor and see how that works out for us.

Lil jj has compiled a group of talent good enough to beat anyone in the country 2 of 3. We’ll see if he’s good enough to coachem up and push the right buttons at the right time.

If he shits the bed again this season, his seat will rightfully start getting hot.

I swear some of you are just itching to try someone new.
How about worrying about if LSU can keep him if he wins the NC next year?

Baseball is really hard. Just put out a competitive product and the adults in the room will be pleased regardless.

Pressure is such a subjective word. Jay is always going to have "pressure" but is he going to be Coaching for his job? frick no and anyone who says otherwise is extremely ignorant. He would have to have 2 more seasons in a row like last year to really start to move the needle to the point he needs to Coach for his job.

Prior to coming to LSU, CJJ came within one out at Arizona in winning the NC. That would have given him 3 out of the last 5 NC. His last 2 comes in the toughest league in college baseball.

It sounds to me like you are trying to create the noise.
This has been discussed ad nauseam over this past season. Jay could frick up the next 2 years and nothing will happen to him.
Baseball is a lot harder than some of you think it is.
