Need minimum 53 players.

There are also minimums by position. So if they have 66 players but one position group was hit too hard, that could force a postponing as well.

quote:

To play a football game, the SEC has established minimum thresholds of at least 53 scholarship players available to participate and the following minimum number of position scholarship players available to begin a game: seven (7) offensive linemen (which includes one center), one (1) quarterback and four (4) defensive linemen. The impacted institution has the option to play the game with fewer than the 53 scholarship players or fewer than the minimum number of position players listed above if it elects to do so. Otherwise, upon approval by the Commissioner, the game would be rescheduled or declared a no contest.

In addition, should an institution determine there are compelling reasons why it cannot begin a contest regardless of the scholarship and position minimums above, the institution may request to have the game rescheduled or, if the game cannot be rescheduled, for the game to be considered a no contest by presenting data (including total number of players not available to participate) outlining reasons why the game should not be played as scheduled. The final decision to reschedule or declare the game a no contest is vested only with the Commissioner.

Exactly, the Gators entire preparation & game plan installation time is now compromised. Only people who don't understand what truly goes on during game week are the ones saying this game will still be played.

test everyone, even people that aren't sick at all, for something that might maybe on an outside chance kill someone somewhere, then make that shite as scary and ubiquitous as possible with a compliant global media and government, and your entire existence is fricking dulled for absolutely no goddamn reason.

If there are 19 positives (not 19 quarantines, but 19 positives) they aren't playing.

No it won't kill them. But those 19 kids aren't going to play on Saturday.

They will hang 56 on our defense even if the game is cancelled.

If it doesn’t happen it would be a forfeit, thus a loss for them, correct?

There are only six players at Florida with Covid. The 19 positives is inaccurate according to Florida.

It would be so karma if the game gets rescheduled and by the time it’s played LSU has its defense issues fixed and beats Florida when Florida would have rolled LSU like LSU would have rolled Florida that year when their defense was decimated with injuries and they refused to move the game for the hurricane so they could play later when they were back at full strength...

LSU and Auburn play on October 31st, but both have an open date on November 7th.

Florida has an open date on October 31st.

I would imagine that LSU-Florida gets played on October 31st, with LSU-Auburn getting moved to November 7th.

LSU plays @ Florida, @ Auburn, Alabama, @ Arkansas, @ A&M with NO bye ahead of the Bama game....while Bama still gets their bye week.

Of all the shite on Bama’s 2020 give a shite list, keeping that bye the week before the LSU game is about 157th.
