I like the top of the lineup. Imperative to get some support behind jones who is seeing the ball really well.

I don’t like Neal in RF either, but if that’s what it takes to keep Pearson and Frey in the game, than so be it.

A loss today would put some people on the edge of their seat about the current season.

If Hurd gets rocked, there’s no choice but to pull him from the weekend rotation.
Coming in strong with the optimistic.

I saw the thread around 5AM that got whacked before 8AM. Interesting to see if that had anything to do with today’s card.

I’ll be honest I can’t stand Neal in RF

Genuine question, why? I honestly don’t mind trying him there for now. I know he didn’t look great in the 2 games he’s been out there but I don’t believe he’s had many reps out there.

Doubt it but you’ll never know if it did either way

Pearson looked better at 2B than Neal or Kling who also took a look there. It really wasn't even close.

I'm not sure Neal is a natural in the OF but I think the best is yet to come from his bat. I'm all for finding ways to get him in the lineup. If Frey was healthy, you would probably see Frey in the OF and Neal at DH.

I would rather have Frey out there, however if he isn't healthy enough at the moment I understand. Neal just feels like a liability on defense that hasn't produced enough on offense to counter it for me.

Same here. Honestly, I love 1-7. I think this lineup may go cold some games but it gives us the best chance to win overall. Gotta ride with it and hope they figure it out

I feel like Jay is going to really swing the pendulum between prioritizing offense vs defense in the line up all season, especially depending on the match up. I’ve said it a bunch but this whole regular season needs to be one big science experiment
between batting and fielding, Pearson is only better in slugging % and HRs.
