This team is good but they definitely play down to there competition.
We controlled the whole fricking game.

Casual LSU MBB fans are the most ignorant, irritating posters on TD.

I mean I ain't saying we sucked. I'm saying we looked good and this all of sudden ended up a 9 point game. Just hurts the ortg/drtg because FGCU hit a few three's late

Because they’re up big and trying to get him some experience to see if he’ll contribute in SEC play. CMM has been trying to get him and R. Miller involved the last 5-7 minutes.

Except Curtis has also played a lot during important games as well, and has largely done nothing in all of them. He is the worst player on the team based on bpm.

We’ve seen enough to know he won’t be productive come SEC play. This hurts for me to say as I was really high on him coming out of hs. I admit that I was wrong.

Doesn’t hurt anything if you continue to win..

Who on this board projected an 8-1 start out the gate? I’d say less than 5%.

Very true.

If we keep winning it'll work itself out. Right now I just see us as being a bubblish team so those little metric movements could matter at the end.

CG3 will be fine. Coach has him working the offense most of the time in there instead of looking for his own shot. He showed enough in the early games to see that he can get some shots. You saw in the last few minutes how he shifted to looking for his own offense.

I seem to recall in past years winning by 10 or more over Quad 3 and 4 teams help your NET. Was I imagining that or was/is that a thing?

LSU controlled that game from the start. How many times have we seen LSU sleepwalk through the first half against a weaker team this season? I would bet CMM got what he wanted out of this game today.

I think they did get rid of the 10 point boost(which was dumb).

But the net still takes in offensive and defensive efficiency.

SMU only has 2 losses. 1 was to Miss State by 5 at home. Miss State is a top 20 team. The other loss was away to Butler by 11. Butler is a top 50 team. SMU has a higher KenPom rating than LSU, so I will be surprised if we win that one at SMU, and without Reed. Aside from Miss State, SMU has beaten everyone else at home by at least 12 points. If we do win the game, then this team is going to do great this year.

Just as some corrections to your post… As of this post, LSU is 52 and SMU 54 in kenpom. Also, the game is not a home game for SMU.

Thanks. I meant NET ranking. SMU is 46 and LSU is 55.

LINK

Miss State is 9 and Butler is 38.

I didn’t realize it wasn’t a true home game, but the Comerica Center is a 22 minute drive, so it is essentially a home game.

Most important from tonight: We had a Boyde sighting. Looking forward to seeing more of him over the next few games!
