He's nice...he can't do his job, but he's nice damnit. Keep him or else. What a crock of shite!

He has two sub par years 8 wins last year 8-9 this year, if that's slipping we all need to slip. Look back on sabans record here not all years where championship runs. Delusional is all I can say.

Jindal expressed concern at how the situation had been handled? Isn't this the same cock hole that has cut higher education without hesitation?
The ultimate irony.
Jindal is the whole reason Alexander has to beg hat in hand to the legislature.
We actually had Jimbo on the hook.
Unreal.

Jindal enjoys the hearty support of Les Miles
Jindal called in a favor.
Excellent points.
Miles has his moments.
Can't develop a QB but he is a shrewd poker player.

it's just sad that these assholes get in the way!

All I heard was "we got the money".. "Money is no issue" until it became an issue. Almost like Bernie Sanders economic plans. Just horrible!!! How much common sense does it take to see a 15 million $ buyout for Miles, a 5 million buyout for Jimbo and a lucrative contract to lure him here was just too much. It was just off the charts ridiculous money.

I'll be watching from the couch next season. frick this shite. The political backing behind this decision is beyond frustrating and has me done with this.

I read the story. Here's a quote.
The article also says Jindal made calls on Saturday which is after the decision to keep Miles had already been pretty much made being sealed during the game. I'm no Jindal fan, but he's a lame duck governor with no more power over the BOS members. He didn't have any pull to speak of. Y'all have jumped on Alleva. Then, on F King. Now on Jindal. It's damn clear if you read the articles posted today that no singular individual made the decision. Half the BOS was already against firing.
Reading comprehension is tough for so many on this board and I know you all want to hang someone, but a group made this decision.
And, not all the fans were cheering a fond farewell to Miles at the game. A large number of fans wanted him to stay, right or wrong. Fact.
Everyone knows people are ticked off, but there's no need to belligerent about it. And, for those who are so angry, they will no longer go to games or give money (many probably never gave in the first place) to the university or the program, stop attending or watching. A break until the coach of your dreams is hired will be good for you. Then you can complain about him and his assistants.

Alexander confirmed that a final decision on Miles’ future was made a few days before the regular-season finale against Texas A&M and that it was a joint decision among him, Alleva and board members.

U don't watch LSU football or are dumb. Period. Anyone that makes the comment u just made and then paints everyone else as delusional after what has transpired on field the last 3-4 years is the delusional one. The joke is on you man. Sorry if the truth hurts. I love les the man but he has shown absolutely no signs of adapting or calling plays in an intellectual manner. The game has changed and to compound these factors, the greatest college coach of the modern era has done exactly that and has distanced himself since the fiasco in New Orleans. Do you think we should wait till we are going winless in conference play? The quality of play and what is actually happening on the field doesn't matter? We weren't even competitive in the 3 game streak this year. What do I know I'm just a guy that has eyeballs and a brain likes football though right. Nega-tiger and such.......amirite

Just when I couldn't hate Jindal any more than I possibly could right now.
That guy had so much promise to his future as a small gov't conservative reformer and he turned out to be nothing more than another good ole boy high on cronyism like the typical LA politician.
He was so disappointing he got a lying liberal elected Governor to succeed him in a partisan red state. What the frick.

For those of you who think Piyush Jindal is lame duck and could not pull this off, you are sadly mistaken. He hired the president, or put his stamp of approval on hiring him. He appointed the LSU Board who chimed in and "agreed" this was the right move. My hope is, and I think they have staggered terms, is that JBE will ask each for his resignation and replace them all.
And for those who claimed early on that JBE was involved with Bombay Bobby on this, you are wrong, again.
