Possibly South Carolina or Florida to...but we have them at home.

7-5 or 8-4

Couldn’t imagine being so god damn miserable before the season even starts.

I imagine all these people congregate here for the anonymity because their friends would call them pussies.

I believe it's 90% of the remainder of the contract so 54 million after this year. LSU isn't paying that. They will fire some assistants if we go 8-4 again. Unless he retires early, he's going to be here at least 3-4 more years.

It’s a 12 game season; get over it. They may lose a couple of games. Would you rather they lose to Clemson on the road instead of Louisiana Tech at home. Which would be a worse loss on the resume?

Homie I went to UH Hilo, didn’t have a football team, and we don’t have a logo for them. The truth still stands that accepting a loss before the season is a loser mentality.

But the fanbase and BK himself really needs to avoid an 0-1 start again.

Whether fair or not that’s the reality.

I'd say it's a pretty reasonable expectation by the fans that LSU should win this game. If they come out and look unprepared AGAIN....the fanbase would have every right to be pissed.

Klubnik is maybe the only QB in College Football better than Nuss, and they have what I expect to be a top 3 defense in College Football. There is no two ways around it, Clemson is a damn good team.

The FSU team we lost to in 2023 went undefeated. I'd say losing to them was every bit as acceptable as losing to Clemson would be

LSU fans will not be happy unless we go undefeated and fire the coach.

LOL. No loss is acceptable but I will say the same thing, if LSU loses a tough competitive battle at Clemson it is NOT the end of the world or the season. That type of mentality IS a loser mentality. The Oline will be learning to gel and it may take a couple of games but LSU is capable of beating everyone else on their schedule and they will improve from the 1st game regardless of the outcome. Of course winning will make it easier but the CF playoffs is the goal and if he gets there doesn't matter how. That's what he will be judged by. I do think he needs to make the CF playoffs or there will be hell to pay.

You have to start your first 5 games at 4-1 at the worst to have a shot at the playoffs, end of story. Losing to Clemson is not the end of the world, but it's one we'd like to have for sure on that resume.

If you lose to Clemson, it makes the Ole Miss and Florida games an absolute must win. There's too many games on this schedule that could go wrong to start the season 3-2.

10-2 should have us at a 8-12 seed but I'm afraid 9-3 will have us on the outside looking in unless there are some wild updates towards the end of the season.

You have a very childish take on how a high achiever's (Kelly) mind works.

I bet it's KILLING HIM every time we lose/fall short.

You don't get to where he has in life by signing a lucrative deal with LSU and coasting after grinding for decades trying to win a national championship.

It won't be. Clemson could be the best team on our schedule. If we lose close, we'd probably go 11-1 or 10-2. Your perspective needs to be adjusted here.

Losing 4 straight season openers is diabolical

Actually, it would be 6 but almost all on the road. UCLA (road), FSU in Orlando (road), USC in Vegas (road), Clemson (road), FSU in NO (neutral site judging by # fans in the seats), Miss St (home) And I blame Ausberry for a couple of those losses. Only an IDIOT would allow the other team to play a game before LSU played their first. At least this time, it is 1st game for BOTH teams.

As I keep saying to the OCD first game fans, a first game loss to a decent/good team is meaningless...especially on the road. A win doesn't put you in the playoffs nor a loss keep you out.

Kelly's comments around this game in the press makes it worse if he loses. He is an idiot when it comes to public relations.

That’s part of the problem here, with nil and transfer portal, this is more unrealistic than ever before.

There’s not gonna be anymore dominant dynasty teams anymore.
