They think our expectations for next year will be off the charts and unreasonable.
I disagree. No one who follows college football can expect us to lose the best QB we’ve ever had, Joe Brady, Jefferson, Delpit, Queen and others and not miss a beat.
I know I’m not expecting another undefeated season. Hell, I’m just ecstatic that we finally have an offensive scheme that’s fun to watch and makes other teams respect our passing game.

nope. i expect nothing
if we win the west i will be ecstatic because IMO it is a lagniappe year. anything we get hardware wise is just gravy
2021 and forward we will be stacked for title runs annually per herb tyler

The amount of departures will be almost impossible to overcome
The offensive line departures will be the real key. Brennan will still have Chase and Marshall to throw to at minimum and we have talented backs
We will have to out score teams next year with the amount of defensive talent likely declaring

Need to keep competing to keep the momentum up. 10-2 with no ugly losses.
ETA: This would mean they won the games they were favored and 1 of the 3 they are likely underdogs (Bama, @ Auburn and @ Florida)

Beat Alabama next year and then they can do whatever else they want.

True LSU fans who understand football know next year won't be the same as this one. No year will ever be this glorious. We will be competitive in all of our games but may falter here and there while rebuilding. But come 2021.....it's on!

If Ingram and Deculus return we will be okay on the OL.

i think we will actually and have a shot at a 3 peat in tuscaloosa in 2021 with MYLES as a senior with a stacked team

yeah a experienced o line for MYLES is the key here

Don't care...won the NATTY

I agree, I think people are forgetting Kardell thomas

Offensive production will be interesting to watch.
Ohio State, Clemson, Alabama, etc, turn in top 10 offenses in PPG and YPG on a yearly basis.
No reason for LSU not to field a top 10 offense next year. Dropping back down to 400 YPG and 30 PPG would be unacceptable.

Yea we will have a lot of losses to try to overcome. Hopefully we dont take too many hits on the O line. If LSU wins 10 games next year that would be a hell of a year

Hopefully Thomas can come into his own next year as well
I'll be curious to see what Charles does

Yeah, I don't get the false narrative that other fan bases are assuming on our behalf.
I keep seeing this said too.

I don't see how we can expect much with everyone and everything we're losing. If we reach 10 wins next year, it'll be a great year. I think that's possible depending on who all declares from the offense and how the coordinator situation plays out and what offense we run.
Also, hopefully we can hold on to Aranda. Our de will some key pieces, but it should be ok. The secondary should ball out with what we have returning (don't forget about Harris), the emergence of Maurice Hampton and of course Stingley, Flott, Ward, Ray Jones and the highly touted freshmen we have coming in. We'll lose some key pieces in the front 7 but I think we gained some valuable experience there this year and have some good players coming in on top of players returning.
Myles Brennan's progression and development will be key.

truth is, less than knowledgeable fans will have expectations that are unrealistic. those of us who know the ins and outs of what is happening, recruiting, coaching changes, players leaving early...all that jazz...we know better. 10-2 is reasonable. 11-1 possible.

If LSU loses next year. This place will be a shite show. Let’s not fool ourselves. If you think otherwise you don’t come on this site during games.

As long as the offense doesn’t look like it learned nothing this year we will win a lot of games I’ll be happy. Even with a new quarterback Gilbert and a stable of running backs should allow us to regress as little as possible with joe’s departure.
We’re not going to beat Bama every single year as long as nick Saban is there. Florida is getting better each year. A&M will be better. Auburn is always tough.
Can’t expect to go undefeated every year. I’ll be happy as long as we look good. I’ll be insanely happy with another SEC championship and a chance at the CFP

LSU will do well but this season was nothing short of a Magic Carpet Ride
