He’s not the consensus #1 QB at all…

Most preseason lists I've seen have him at #1.

Beck was a first year starter but more proven than Manning and had a decent but not fantastic season but they played a lot tougher schedule than Texas does this year.

Texas opens with Ohio State. That will tell us a lot. Even if they lose, they can bounce back because their SEC road schedule is not that tough, outside of having to go to Athens. They avoid Bama, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and LSU. If they can't get it done this season with Arch, then I imagine that the UT boosters will be breathing down Sarkisian's neck pretty hard.

Shouldn’t Finebaum be perched on a ledge somewhere overlooking the Everglades?

Really? I just googled “2025 top college qb’s” and clicked on the first 5 lists. Zero of them had Arch as the #1 QB.

His real talent would be propped up in a corn field somewhere

There is no preseason concensus No. 1 qb for 2025.

If Arch is eveything he's hyped to be then maybe so. If not, they'll have some issues.

Yeah, I screwed that up. I was thinking SEC schedule only and forgot they are starting that series with them. Basically replacing Michigan from their 2024 schedule.

I've more faith in Nuss than those Manning hype experts. I seem to remember NO MANNING ever won a NCAA championship.

And how many NUSSMEIER won an NCAA championships?

Usually, the experts don't pick the team with a 1st year starting QB.
