Hope to see Curry get some carries and unleash some violence against Tech in the 2nd half. Could use some in-game experience to get more comfortable with the offense and improve his pass blocking skills. May need him to spell Brossette and CEH when we get into the nitty gritty of SEC play.

He's going to be tremendous for us - I just think that's going to be next year.

ABSOLUTLEY. Let’s put him in there to learn his pass protection. If we are lucky, Burrow won’t get killed during this experiment.
If he ain’t playin, he ain’t ready.

Are you going to practices to evaluate his pass blocking? How do you know he's not ready? Maybe he's not playing bc he's a true freshman and has two guys with way more experience in front of him. Doesn't necessarily mean he's a shitty pass blocker.

Brossette's been great but jury is still out on CEH being #2 and Curry may give him some competition for more carries.

Brossette waited his turn; give him all he can handle.

Brossette has looked like the best back on this team since week 1. I never saw him in highschool and I do remember him having an ACL freshman year. I think it just took him longer to shake the rust off. His vision and patience is excellent, NFL good.

Hopefully he looks better than he has to this point. Has been underwhelming for sure.

Agreed. Brossette has been head and shoulders above the rest. But with the wear and tear of this brutal schedule, giving him more than 20 carries a game may be pushing it.

Hopefully

Seems like every time he pops off a good run there is some phantom illegal block

Where has Tae Provens been? That dude getting a RS? Looked like a decent change of pace back during spring game - for whatever that was worth.

I really don't think it did. he averaged averaged over 5 yard per carry every year prior to this season, though he didn't have a lot of meaningful carries. Sophomore season he averaged 9.7 ypc though on on 15 carries. One was a 60 yard rush, without that carry he still averaged over 6 YPC.

He just had the misfortune of playing behind 2 of the best back ever at LSU and one really solid back who had his best season the year one slot may have opened up.

My hot take on the who'll be up next (not sure why anyone would want my hot take )? I think Provens is the guy here now to keep your eye on.

I agree to feed him in the 2nd half but Brossette has been a monster this year. He’s earned the bell cow reps .

It's hard to get into rhythm with 1 or 2 carries. He has the look of a feature back, though. I look forward to watching his development within the offense.

You must have missed this:

The guy makes a good point. Coaches have reasons for what they do. A running back might run the ball well, maybe better than everyone else, but he can’t be played because he doesn’t know his assignments.

Brossette is just an avg talent but he just “knows what to do”. He gets what’s blocked for him with the ability to power through arm tackles. He can catch the ball out of the backfield and probably most important he is excellent in pass protection.

I think he reads the hole very well and makes quick decisions with his cuts. He was sitting behind Fournette and Guice, plus Williams was no slouch. He actually always impressed me late in mop up duty. HIs first carry vs Troy last year netted 7+ yards had he not fumbled.
He's not elite but he is solid.
