One moment that won't be soon forgotten was Pearson's catch Saturday night. That one single play might have been the difference between the natty in BR or Gainesville.

That’s the play they keep harping on that cost them the championship. They don’t realize that had we lost the first game, Sunday likely would have looked far different.

Tre's play at the plate and Tanks' walk off are right up there, but I had to go with one I was in the stadium for. Pearson's play might not get as much attention, but we lose game 1 if he doesn't make it.

What I’ve enjoyed most about this run is I’m having a hard time picking out a standout “MVP” moment. So many guys stepped up. Skenes was awesome, but so were Floyd, Hurd, and Ack. The relief staff, especially Coop. Whites home run was awesome, but it wouldn’t have mattered without Morgan to Milazzo. Pearsons snag. Beloso bombs and then getting moved up to lead off and having an awesome game. Dugas coming around in a big way in the CWS.

Total team victory.

Not the best moment, but it was great to see Crews go out at the top of his game. Felt like no matter how long that game went on last night he was going to hit a rocket somewhere.

Maybe, maybe not

What's undoubted is that catch saved that one game.

Maybe JJ doesnt start Ackenhausen on Sunday if UF wins Saturday, maybe he does.?.? I won't pretend to know what would have happened.

All that doesnt matter as much to me as the impact of that catch on Saturday night.

Tommy Tanks walk off to get us in the series. The beauty of a walk off is WF can do nothing but watch in agony as TT runs the bases and touches home with the team. Sweet!

Too many moments to list...

Favorite outside of the game moments -

After the dramatic win Saturday night, there is a video clip of the team gathering to take their post game victory photo.

As all the media gathers in, they start to squeeze their official team photographer. The team immediately tells every other camera man to get the F**k out the way.

They even had the camera guy's back. Tells you all you need to know.

Sorry for facebook link -

Don't Crowd the Camera Guy

I get it Cheer. Like the guy that said he was sitting 7 rows up on the first base line, his favorite will always be Tre AND Milazzo's play. I get it. He was right there. I can only imagine what it felt like for both of you.

The bottom of the line-up coming through in game 3 of the championship.... I know it's more than one moment but it is my favorite feel good moment.

The fans letting JT know that we were still here for him

This was great. But you had so many heroic moments that were completely surprising. Like Ack getting the start for the first time of his career and giving us 7 innings. Coop coming in twice and ending games preserving our bullpen. This cannot be underestimated. Using four total pitchers in two pivotal games leveled the playing field giving us an opportunity to win a three game championship series.

It was masterfully managed by Jay Johnson essentially throwing game two to give our guys the best shot possible at a title.

Also, the catcher rotation was completely strategic and when Milazzo rounded third to give us even more insurance he put his body in harms way and left the game with a broken leg. Travenski comes in and played his best innings as a defensive catcher. Simply amazing.

Trey's play at home on the squeeze. Just a classic baseball moment

Here's why I choose this play. You'll see walkoff homers on occasion during playoffs and championship series play. You may never see the beautiful precision of this play in a situational moment like that ever again.

I was definitely most excited in the moment for Tommy’s walk off HR against Wake. Given the hype all season for that pitching matchup, it somehow overdelivered, and just how the game played out…what a classic. And the perfect ending.

Tre’s play at the plate has to be 1B. We see HRs, even walkoffs, regularly. Not always with those stakes, but it happens. Morgan’s play was just so perfectly executed in an extraordinarily difficult and crucial situation. If he doesn’t make that play, the Tanks walkoff, the Pearson catch, Beloso’s HR, etc. never even happen. That one will stick with me.

One that will likely not be talked about as much in the years to come is the reaction to JT yesterday with all of Omaha chanting his name after he started playing great. Imagine the incredible feeling that must be to hear that. It strikes to the very core of what makes LSU sports, the athletes and coaches, and the fanbase just so special. There’s nothing else like being a Tiger.

Morgan’s flip to home on the bunt.

We’ve seen walk off home runs at every level of baseball. We’ve seen great outfield catches, we’ve seen great pitching, but I don’t know that we’ve ever seen a play like Morgan’s. I’m not sure how many MLB first baseman could’ve made that play. It’s the singular moment that stands out to me and always will.
