Gabe Northern. He was an All-SEC defensive end in 1995, plus an All Academic choice as well that season.
It seems like he was the defender who sacked the quarterback and recovered the fumble in a big Tiger win.

Let me tell a story.
My dad coached legion baseball in Bossier in the early 80’s. Went up to Texarkana for a tournament. They were notoriously racist and umps were in on it. Tony Moss was his leadoff hitter. First at bat struck out on three called strikes out of the strike zone while the opposition screamed the n word from the dugout. Before his next at bat pops told him to swing at anything close. He went 3/4 with 3 home runs. Tony was a ridiculous athlete.

Henderson was awesome. Bluegrass Miracle legend. Wore my #9 jersey for Saints SB.

Sammy Martin. The man gave a 100%+ effort on the field every Saturday back in the mid-1980s.

Goal line fumble notwithstanding, J.C. Copeland was a player I enjoyed seeing hit the hole.

Sheddrick Wilson. Playing like a beast against USC in the 2nd half with a sprained knee and ankle, the Bring Back the Magic game against Auburn, and several other games put him high on my list.
Kennison was the more talented receiver, but I’m not sure anyone played with more heart than Sheddrick.
