Last year doesn't mean shite moving forward.

Assuming we have a meteoric rise next year like UGA did this year, sure I'd agree. Another disappointing season next year and it will have been a warning sign of things to come. Much to be determined this offseason and next year

We linger in the not- ready- for-prime time zone. We need to get over the hump and have some dumb luck too .

LSU is the 3rd best team in the SEC? If you say we are better than Auburn, then you have to say that the Miss State team that boat raced us is bettter.

We lost to Troy this year.

This! After this happened, it wouldn't have mattered if LSU had won out (including beating Bama) and won the SEC Championship, they would never had been in the top 4 because they lost to a team they should have beaten. Just ask Ohio State.

LSU will never sniff anything so long as O is HC.

Sorry if the obvious truth hurts.

You see WHY he's from cali? So he acted a certain way and then a fairy came down and said "you shall be from cali". Is that what happened?

Why are you on this guy for leaving in California? That doesn’t make him any less a Louisianan.

LSU is a huge school with a large alumni base. Do the other graduates not give back to the school? If money is the matter the AD should let the fanbase know that we won’t be championship competitive henceforth. We can then all find a competitive team to cheer for while still loving the Tigers.

LSU doesn't have the money that some of the other big name programs do.

Yeah, I guess ranked 4th in the country in value as a program according to Forbes puts us in that sisters of the poor category.

What a dumb fricking post.

As far as I am concerned, LSU is playing who I wanted them to play and where. Remembering how I felt back in SEptember, it is almost amazing where I see we are now. I thought we MIGHT be 6-6 (at best) and playing UTSA in Shreveport. :-)

The frick it is. The information in the linked post is from the LSU website and is only through the first 7 games.

https://www.tigerdroppings.com/rant/display.aspx?sp=73071943&s=2&p=73064542#73071943

LSU had started 8 true freshmen and 4 redshirt freshmen through the first 7 games.

Well if the head coach didn’t meddle in the offense, which he said he wouldn’t do, you don’t have a loss to Troy.

It may be true that O meddled with the offense. But what was clear is that’s not the reason we lost to Troy.

O meddled because the offense wasn’t getting the results expected. We were paying Canada to outperform Ensminger and the results were falling short.

From opening kickoff throughout the game, you could see the difference between the two teams on the field and on the sidelines. Moreso than any other game I’ve seen, that game showed me how much of a factor emotion factors into the outcome. LSU didn’t have it. They expected to win with talent alone. They needed to experience that. Every game after Troy, you could see the difference in players committed to winning.

We are playing New Year's Day on ABC against Notre Dame, with a chance for a 10 win season and top 10 finish.

That Forbes list is dumb if it has LSU listed as being a higher valued football program than Alabama!!!

Do you think that is real or is there some book cooking going on there??? The word 'value' does not have the same meaning as what I was talking about in regard to the money behind the program.....there are several teams nationwide that have more 'money' behind them than LSU.

I am happy we get ND on Jan 1....that is something going our way.

We have a TAF that in the first place hires a loser like Joe Alleva and the doesn't have the balls to fire him for incompetence.
