I listened from a suburb 20 miles northwest of Chicago. My great-uncle said that he used to listen from Detroit.

This is awesome. I love these stories. I still have this old Sony handheld radio with shortwave that was my dads. Ive had it for 25 years.

I listened to Troy Twillie intercept Auburn in the Bring Back the Magic game while in Texas. Listened to plenty of LSU baseball games in the 90s on that thing. I remember Todd Walker crushing A&M in COllege Station in the 9th.

I was in my car somewhere Near Dallas when we beat #1 Florida in 97.

Also in the Chicago area. Listened to post-game after the Tigers' win over Washington in 2009 while on vacation.

Listened to part of the Saints MNF game on WWL a few weeks ago while in St. Louis (I know, not LSU).

I listened to a an LSU baseball game in Destin several years back. My dad listened to the '97 LSU/FLA game in Colorado.

Heard a Saints game in Atlanta...I jokingly put it on the station pretending I was going to listen and it was clear as hell.

I had no idea why it was working but we caught most of the game. Crazy...

Sorry, I might be the too young, but how would you pick up WWL's AM radio station in Virginia, or Nashville?

Honest question, I really dont know the answer.

Turn your am dial to 870. It clearer at night and when the weather is good. You'll easily get it Nashville at night.
