Dale Brown’s legacy was an amazing final four run and landing Shaq. That is it. Basically just like Brady. One great run and a lot of disappointment.

You may want to do a little more research.

He had 2 final four runs.
Won the SEC a couple times
Was SEC COTY a bunch of times

I think his last 5 years or so takes away of how great he was in the earlier years.

ETA : just to name a few
Most overall wins: 448
Most SEC wins: 238
Most wins in a aeason: 31
Most consecutive wins in a season: 26
Most consecutive SEC wins in a season: 17 (SEC record)
Most consecutive non-losing seasons: 17 (SEC record shared with Adolph Rupp)
Most SEC regular season championships: 4
Only SEC Tournament championship: 1980
Most wins over Kentucky: 18 (of LSU's 24 total, most wins of any coach over Kentucky)
Most NCAA Tournament appearances: 13 (of LSU's 20th total)
Most consecutive national tournaments: 15 (of LSU's 25 total, SEC record)
Most Final Four appearances: 2 (of LSU's 4 total)
Most Elite Eight Appearances 4 (of LSU's 6 total)

Jesus, can you imagine those Duke, UCLA and UNC teams?

Where can I see the rosters?

Would they be better than:

Pete Maravich
Chris Jackson
Ben Simmons
Bob Petit
Shaquille O'Neal?

I highly fricking doubt it.

This starting 5 is right there in the mix with UCLA & UNC. Duke doesn't come close to LSU.

Shaquille Oneal
Bob Pettit
Any All-SEC player in LSU basketball history
Chris Jackson
Pete Maravich

How about Ben Simmons, NBA ROY, and a guy who absolutely dominated as a freshman?

You have him at PG, Pete and Chris at SGs, Bob and Shaq down low.

That is unbeatable IMO.

UCLA with Kareem and Walton down low would be nasty. Who are their guards?

I agree with you, BUT, when Shaq and Laettner met on the court in college it was Shaq who ended up with the short end of the stick. Shaq claims he has never been more frustrated

Head-to-head Shaq was better that day. Laettner's team (who went on to win the National Title that season) was better than LSU

A bit susceptible on the perimeter on D but they’d score like hell, Ben would be unstoppable in transition, and good luck defending the post, we know Shaq’s dominance but Petit’s skill set would drive guys crazy.

My final four would be:

UNC- Smith,MJ,Carter,Worthy and hanbsbrough

UCLA- Alcindor,Walton,Marques johnson,Reggie Miller and Goodrich

LSU-SHAQ,Pettit,Rudy Mac,Pistol,CJ

and a school that’s not even listed in this tournament, which makes no sense

Houston-Hakeem,The Big E, Drexler, birdsong and Don Chaney

The only 2 schools that would have a PRAYER of beating LSU's all time team are UCLA and UNC. Nobody else would hang with our 5.

Honestly this is a push We saw shaq go against Laettner in college It wasnt as dominating as later in their careers

We could always have Pettit guard Laettner.

You’re right. I have no clue. Please teach me.

I’m just kidding, I’m okay with my opinion. I didn’t expect anyone to see anything other than LSU.

LSU with Marivich and CJ in the back court would win every game. NONE of those teams would have close including MJ duke teams. None. Why? Shaq at the 5 and Pettit at the 4 with John Williams, Reynolds, Tyrus Thomas or anyone else at the 3. Would absolutely kill those teams.
Jordan would absolutely shite in college playing Maravich. This is the college Jordan and not the Pro Jordan. Huge difference defensively.
