I saw a YouTube video of Santarelli taking bp somewhere and he hit one at 118 mph.

Is Stringer working on location or certain off speed pitches? His velocity numbers along with his era have been absolutely horrible.

Stringer hasn’t shown high velocity on his fastball this fall. He has thrown it often as well as offspeed pitches. He seems to be dependent on location to be effective. Reminds me of Dylan Thompson.

Santarelli power is real but is also known to be a high strikeout guy. Will be interesting to see how he develops especially against SEC pitching. Can he be similar to Jared Jones freshman year and make significant improvements in the years after. Will be fun to watch b/c his power is off the charts.
