- A fan of a sports team who only shows support when the team is doing well. Only shows loyalty when team is winning and mysteriously vanishes or bashes team at first sign of trouble. During hard times, they lack interest and usually berate coaches and players.

Prior to Season/Saturday night: CLM is awesome, winningest head coach in past decade. Cameron/Chavis is best dual. Jennings has great potential/ Harris obvious not ready, DL/DBU back/back shut out whooohooo! Experienced OL just need to gel. Team is young but possible playoffs baby!! etc, etc, etc,

After Saturday: All of the above SUCKS! The sky is falling! Fire Miles, Cameron/Chavis are dinosaurs with no adjustments, Burn Jennings/ Start Haris, Will will be last in SEC west, lucky to go 6/6. Tiger Stadium atmosphere is crap. blah, blah, blah.

Half the "fans" left at halftime, over 2/3 after the third quarter. Gave the team no chance and they fought until the very last play of the game. Sure we got outplayed and lots need to be improved to stay competitive, but good thing they were not fair weather players.

Get a grip tiger "fans"!

For those who stayed till the very end like i did

When the fans start accepting losses and not complaining is when the program has gone to shite.

It is good for fans to care and get upset over losses.

Fairweather fans don't complain about legitimate grievances. They just stop supporting the team.

I haven't seen anyone renounce their LSU fandom yet.

Will one bad game get Miles fired? No, probably not even a disastrous season and Miles has earned that. BUT, even when Miles is winning, people complain, and some of it IS valid.

What you saw on Saturday night was everything people have always complained about rearing its ugly head. Miles deserves all the criticism in the world after that bed-shitting performance.

It is a fine line, though. Tennessee got rid of Fulmer and has suffered ever since, but Texas kept their great coach too long and let the program slip into mediocrity.

I was just coming to post this. When the day comes that no one is bitching about shite on the rant then you can talk about fair-weather fans.

I don't think you understand what a fair weather fan actually is.

Nowhere near half the fans left at halftime. More than half were still there at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Ok. So let's say you stay to the 4th quarter, for every game, and just boo the shite out of the coaches when you're not pleased?

You know, how every professional sports team operates. At least they won't fall under your definition of "fair weather" fan.

In fact, I'd consider them more passionate and caring about their team than the ostriches with their heads in the dirt, using their muffled yells of "Geaux Tigers" to drown out any potential negativity.

I was there until 4 minutes left. Didn't boo...but kind of wished I had as I was walking back to the car. But no...I'm just gonna be a sucker and show up in my seat next home game, just like most of you.

I appreciate the Tigers for fighting back and making State earn that win till the last play. The real fans were the 25% who stayed for an almost epic comeback victory..

Yes we have issues; the coaches will be challenged until this group matures. But when they do we will be competing for championships.

I stayed the entire game and missed the comeback because I drank too much.

People leaving early doesn't prove anything to the LSU administration, nor the coaching staff. They already have your money.
It's about football, but also money. Stop going to the games, give up your lower bowl tickets, some people would be happy to have them.
Instead of doing nothing but mouthing off, take real action!
