This was a weak as frick case to try that on.
SEC needs to make a very specific definition of what a professional is and when you forfeit your eligibility. Something very clear and not open to interpretation based on what school is doing it. IE: “If you elect to leave school and declare yourself eligible for a professional draft, you forgo the remaining years of your eligibility.”

This is good for self-governance, which most on here would have cheered on if someone else was in the crosshairs. LSU is probably vulnerable to a lawsuit, but more likely some type of sanction from the injunction judge (Williams?). Shouldn’t be that much exposure for member schools going forward I would think. They will stay away from those players if the conference makes their rules clear. Or am I off base here?

I think since LSU never rostered them, the TRO doesn't specifically apply to them. Now that LSU can never roster them, the TRO is effectively moot (as it relates to those 2, since they can't enroll at another SEC school at this point)

That seems to be the goal and now that LSU gave up, they all seem to be working towards.
