Explain to me how Orgeron was an upgrade over Miles.

Let me just start this off by saying I 100% wanted Miles gone. It was passed time when we finally let him go. However, I wanted him gone under the assumption that we would hire a BETTER coach than he was.
So, please provide me with logical reasons why Orgeron is any better, because it looks exactly the same to me.
- Miles always recruited well. I think Orgeron has done a good job of recruiting as well. Even considering the lower ranking last year, I'll still call this a wash between the two.
- Miles coached teams always showed up for big games, and sometimes won in dominant fashion against teams they maybe shouldn't have beat. Same can be said for Orgeron, with Auburn last season and Georgia this season.
- Miles coached teams usually played very much down to weaker opponents. Orgeron has done exactly the same.
- Miles forgot how to beat Bama, and looked terrible on offense in those games. Exactly the same as Orgeron.
- Miles consistently won 9-10 games a season. Orgeron is on pace to do just that.
Save me the 8-2 argument, because it's no better than Miles usually did. I don't see why we should just be satisfied we are 8-2, when we have done it in such sloppy fashion. Had we been 8-2 without looking so totally garbage on offense against Southeastern, LA Tech, Arkansas, as well as other games but I'll overlook them because the defenses we faced in those games were solid, then that 8-2 looks better. You can't just pound your chest pointing at 8-2 while ignoring the massive issues we are having, with no improvements being shown.

Who else was interested? How much were they wanting? $100 million?

He’s not. Alleva got it wrong but his job is probably tied to O’s so he’s gonna ride this as long as he can

Our offensive ranking points to the fact that he is, in fact, worse than Miles. I wanted Miles gone too, but you tell me that this was the plan of the AD and I would've sucked it up a bit longer.
We really need a new AD.

He's cheaper?
That's all I got. Miles was a better coach. Get what you pay for...
Eta: Unless you're Dell Demps or Solomon Hill.

Talk to FKing. Until then stop whining.

This offense is way worse than a miles offense

We’ll never know because Alleva didn’t bother to ask.

There were probably 20-30 more qualified, better candidates, that would have come for WAY less than 100 million.
Do you really think Orgeron was the only coach in the country who wanted to coach LSU?

If we win 10 regular season games this year itll be something miles never did after 2012

He's not cheaper than just paying Miles. Now, we're paying Miles and new HC.

Nice logical arguments you make there Ben. I would expect nothing less from you.

O was a huge downgrade.
I wanted Miles fine but I never thofutbfor a minute he’d really be placed by Ed Orgeron.

So is that the bar we are setting?
Doesn't matter if you can't win the west, beat Bama, and the offense is among the absolute worst in the nation, as long as we get to 10 wins all is well?

How do you not understand that FKing fricked LSU football. If not for him jimbo would be in his third year and probably have LSU in the playoffs. How do you not see that?

So you are admitting LSU football is fricked with Orgeron as the coach?

It is no better than Miles latter years. Maybe worse as I think Miles is a much better coach that 0. No one can give a reasoned explanation why hiring a position coach from WITHIN made sense in the long view interest of the program. At bottom I am sure that the BOS/Alleva looked at the money and decided that getting a great coach was not worth it.
We'll see, but I have no reason to believe that 0 will ever beat the gumps. So, that means no West title, no SEC and so forth. What idiots could be happy with that? Yeah, that's right, the purblind 0 supporters. That's who.

It was a smartass answer. I personally would rather Miles still be the coach than have this shitshow.

I'm not a CEO apologist but that's utter bullcrap. That's the Larry Fedora argument and it doesn't wash.
