Please explain to me how many of you in here think LSU wins this game so easily....Some are even saying it will be over by half-time. Do you realize who LSU is playing?

Pretty sure the confident predictions are predicated in part on our consecutive demolitions of UGA and OU, both ranked 4th in the nation. When you murder top five teams, some confidence is warranted.

All teams have dumb, overly pumped fans.
not that long ago, a State fan said the MSU gets the best recruits out of Louisiana because they got K. Thompson.

The schedule was pretty brutal. And to come through it undefeated, and by absolutely destroying teams late in the season, gives people confidence.

I just watched the Peach Bowl again. I don’t think it will be over by halftime, but Clemson will have their hands full all night long.

People hang their hat on the fact Clemson hasn’t played anyone. They haven’t, but that doesn’t make them a bad football team. They are a great team. One of the best, if not the best we will play this season. They just don’t have the body of work that LSU has this season. I love the confidence our fans have, but do feel like they are in for a letdown this Monday if it’s not 59-14 type game they expect. With that being said, do I think LSU wins? Yes. Do I think it will be over at halftime? No. Will I be surprised if we destroy them? Not at all.

I don't think anyone is going to be "letdown" if we WIN a close game. I don't give a shite if people want to predict a blowout either, though.

I dont rate Clemson this season.
I didnt before they lucked into beating OSU, and I dont now.
i dont think anyone watches clemson games beyond highlights and box scores. they are not that great.

Clemson’s D cannot stop LSU unless they bring massive run-pass blitz pressure, but this puts massive coverage pressure on Clemson’s DBs. The DBs cannot win against Burrow’s football IQ and escape ability. LSU scores 40ish points if blitzed, and 50ish if not.
And if LSU can contain Clemson’s QB and slow the run, think Johnny o and two against LSU football, Clemson maxes out at about 24. If not, they max out about 35ish.
LSU wins.

We win easily because... LSU is playing Clemson.
Clemson is the most overrated and overconfident team I have seen lately. Their fans come on our board and tell us how we are going to lose because they beat Bama last year. Well. last year's over and it's 2020 now. On January 13 Clemson will have to meet the real Tigers, LSU, the #1 team in the nation with a record-setting offense led by the Heisman winner Joe Burrow. LSU's defense is healthy and peaking at the right time. LSU's coaches have Clemson's number, and Clemson has no idea what's about to happen, but when they figure it out it will be too late.
