They were idiots beforehand. I have no inside info (apparently neither do any of the talking heads), and it was obvious the whole time that House would be gone. You do not let a season like this happen without many heads rolling.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: BK got a once in a career gift this year, coaching the best player he has ever, and maybe will ever coach. He lost 3 games and 100% of that was on the defense. Had he had even the 50th ranked defense he would’ve fulfilled his career long dream of winning a championship. You bet your arse he’s getting rid of the defensive staff, I’m not even surprised he canned all of them. This will eat him alive forever even if he wins one at LSU. “How the frick did I lose 3 games with Jayden Daniels?”

They still are saying the plan was to keep him but that changed after the bowl game and player reactions

House is gone. I told you guys this quite some time back (like about a week and a half after Alabama game) that Kelly and House had a sit down after said Bama game and was told too much had happened and he should EARN HIS $$ and do his job and start looking or take a year off and enjoy buyout $$. Told him they would do it however he wanted and no hard feelings that he made good coin in those 2 years and it is what it is. Assistants are scrambling since they don't have House buyout $$ and would obviously have to RE-INTERVIEW with new guy so not as tight lipped as Woody and BK would like but still done correctly. We got House from the NFL where cats are still working as well as others in college who may not be in 2-3 weeks. We don't need to rush this, just need to GET IT RIGHT. As far as BK to Ann Arbor who knows, as of now Harbaugh is still a Michigan Man. Also Kelly came here for a reason, TO WIN IT ALL!!!!!! I believe he feels LSU is the place he can win a couple and he enjoys it here. But House will not be back nor will any defensive assistants that the new guy doesn't sign off on. Kelly is definitely not stupid (Les and O possibly not sharpest tools in shed) he's known since after Bama game that it's not even an option unless he is going to Michigan and if he does I can promise you one thing for certain, HE AINT BRINGING THE HOUSE WITH HIM!!!
