Bump for lsumatt...I (and others) appreciate your objective opinion on this.

lsumatt,

Assuming LSU, Bama, Oregon all win out...do you think it is LSU vs. Bama/Oregon regardless of whether Oklahoma wins out

No. I have said it before and will say it again - I still think OU has the best chance of the 3. They have the best computer score and would be an easy choice for voters. It could be any of three imo, but if I had to lay odds, they would be:

1. OU (40%)
2. Oregon (35%)
3. Bama (25%)

What if Okie St. wins out...any shot as they only have one loss?

I think so. Maybe not quite as good as OU's but they are virtually in the exact same position.

I don't understand this. Why would OU get in over the Ducks? Oklahoma lost to Texas Tech at home. Oregon lost to the number one team in the country on the road.

1. OU computer score >>>>> Oregon
2. OU easy choice for voters to avoid any rematch.

Makes sense, and more of a reason for me to pull for Oregon tonight, and the rest of the way. Oregon is no threat to us, but a fly in the ointment to everyone else.

Thanks for your input, and please ignore ignorance on here.

I think that would be it. I think if OU gets in, it's because the voters don't want to see a rematch.

I sincerely hope that at some point, the voters think to themselves "Damn, I'd love to see LSU-Alabama because thats the two best teams in the country, and I'd really love to see LSU-Oregon because Oregon's a one loss Pac-12 Champion, but we can't have them because both of those games would be rematches of regular season games. LSU is really something because they beat both of those teams on the road"

If LSU loses to Arkansas I don't think they deserve to be in the NCG. Never fear, though. With what is on the line I think our boys will be up to the task. I think they will skull drag the hogs. LSU 45 Piglets 17

You're correct. I think a Bama or Oregon that LSU has already beaten would be much more deserving.

BUT, you have to get there first, and LSU is a virtual lock now.
What if they lose to Arkansas, still get to the SECCG, and lose to Georgia? Lock picked!
