What's all this Bama talk? Oregon controls their destiny.

1. Schedule is tougher than Bama's from here on out (bama takes a major hit w/ GA St.)
2. Will be conference champs. Play an extra game (CCG)
3. Bama's signature win will probably lose their next 2 (PedoSt)

Plus I think the polls are more likely to vote in a non-conference rematch. Nobody outside of Alabama wants to see LSU/Bama 2.

lsumatt,

Assuming LSU, Bama, Oregon all win out...do you think it is LSU vs. Bama/Oregon regardless of whether Oklahoma wins out

SIAA, but how far does OSU drop this week ? I assume the computers still rank them high, just not as high as before.

I would think the Bedlam winner would get the 2nd spot in the BCSNCG if LSU won out.

Voters won't want a rematch and the computers love the Big 12.

Is this logic flawed?

I actually agree. Assuming everyone wins out, Oregon is a likely opponent for LSU. If Oregon stumbles, I wouldn't eliminate OU from that possibility, although I'm not sure about their computer ranking

not sure that I agree.

2/3rds of the voting is done by humans who will now start to manipulate things, or do their best...
if we undefeated, it is clear, but what if w lose 1 game.
Oregon Al, LSU, Ark (a little assuming here), OK ST or OK, likely Stanford, all would have 1 loss and Houston with "0" losses. We could argue that LSU should still be in because we beat Oregon and Al, but that's not a gimmie. If Ark were to win ou...they will not do 2 SEC teams.

Too many games yet left to play that could turn this upside down AGAIN.

I do think the BCS computers have a hard on for the BIG12. I would rank the teams as such, giving that the Pac12 Champ losses a game
1. OU
2. UO
3. Bithces oops i mean Bama
4. Stanford/ACC champ.
If Uo wins out flip the first two

Let's don't worry about who we might play . Lets be concerned about staying focused and get there !! Then worry about who we play !!

I don't think there is a good chance that OSU or Ok make it since they don't have a conference championship. I also don't see the voters voting in 2 SEC teams in. Coaches from other parts of the country will likely want another conference to be represented IMO.

The championship game is LSU and Oregons to lose.

I don't think anyone is "worried" about who we play, but it's fun to speculate who it might be.

We are fans on a message board. What else are we supposed to do?

If all teams win out, it would be insane if lsu does not play Alabama again. OU lost to Tx Tech andlsu beat the he'll out of Oregon on a neutral site. The bama game was a draw til OT. I think people want to see that again.

much of the country thinks that 6-6 at the end of regulation is a lousy game though...

Uh, not so much in most of the country, and I don't blame them.

I haven't polled most of the country, but everyone I have spoken to, said it was a great game

Oh, I agree it was a great game. But from just listening to callers to sports programs, the commentators and speaking with people I know around the country, I think most people want to see a different game. Not a scientific poll, but I think it's a pretty accurate reflection of the sentiment out there.

Not at all.

The Tigers have to win out or we could end up in the Cap One Bowl.

We have no shot without winning SEC title.

please explain. The math doesn't support your premise.

The big question is, "What does ESPN want to see?"

I might be wrong, but I think a big part of ABC/ESPN allowing CBS to move to primetime was betting on the come.
