Even though lsu is #1 in baseball how far will they go?

I got in this dicussion with a friend. I was shocked to see them ranked #1 preseason. I know this team is loaded with talent, but I just can't get past how young they still are.

Honestly, UNC should be #1. They got those two unbelievable pitchers from last year--- Alex White (throws 95-98 mph) and Matt Harvey

LSU's pitching is untested. There's no way LSU should be #1 going into the year after losing it's #1, 2, and 3 starters from last year.

takes more than just pitching buddy. Pitching is the most important element but look at our batting lineup. Its rediculous! Not to mention we probably have the best middle infield in the nation and probably the most athletic outfield. Our defense should be awesome with some really good pitching and watch out with our lineup! Maybe that has something to do with out number 1 ranking being over UNC's 2 really good pitchers

depends on how pitching turns out, our sticks are proven, so is defense, all depends on whether our pitching shows up

I was shocked as well. I think its a top 10 team and probably makes it back to Omaha with a shot at winning the whole thing. I dont know how I feel about being preseason #1 due to all the band wagon fans this attracts and the constant negative post that will be on this board when we hit that midseason slump. frick you in advance.

although i feel unc should be #1, im very happy about the rankings. being ranked #1 means unless you win a national championship then you had a dissapointing season. there are other teams that have a great shot at the nc but i feel lsu will show people why they are #1 and win it all
