He's got a good pocket presence if there is no pressure & hit footwork was rough while at LSU, however, I have no doubt that a coaching staff like the Patriots' will be able to get some use out of him.

I think the better question for Etling is...is he that big?
I'd imagine they would look at him more as a possession receiver, not a burner, so will he be able to cross the middle of the field or turn and sit 5-10 yards off the line and take big hits from LB's and safeties?

Patriots trying to find Edelman 2.0 by converting aanother qb to a wr. They apparently really like Etling and looking to get him a roster spot to justify keeping him around.

I will laugh if he makes it into the rotation for slot receiver. It'll be just another reason to solidify Belichick as the goat.

For the most part Bill has built his success in having Tom Brady and taking chances on guys that the rest of the league stays away from because they have “deficiencies” like being white and playing the WR position. He is basically the moneyball A’s of football.
