As we shouldn't be. All of the posters saying this is a top 5 team just isn't paying attention.

We have a true freshman LT

Whoever starts at QB brings their own set of questions marks

DB is the thinnest it's been in 20+ years

LB has talent but no depth.

I think we have 3 scholarship TEs and if you know Kelly you know how much he uses these guys.

This is a transition year.

I expect above .500 and then we'll see what the roster looks like next year.

BK proved he can recruit locking down Walker Howard and landing Harold Perkins.

You have to be patient and understand this is going to be a process.

They gonna find out. I love going under the radar, we generally do really well with this type of projection.

It’s Mark Schlabagh. It’s what he does. Pretty sure heading into 2019 he didn’t even have LSU in the top 10.

He’s always way too retrospective.

The great thing about being in the SEC is that if you take care of business the ranking will take care of itself.

I'd rather be underrated than overrated to start the year.

After the last two seasons, regardless of who’s in charge now, you should not be surprised by this.

Or the Mississippi State corollary to this statement:

“I’d rather be unranked all year than be underrated.”

We will be top 25 prior to FSU for obvious reasons. Anyways, who cares

Nobody is saying this but I think LSU is a top 15-20 team with above avg QB and OL play

Fine with this we need a complete reboot but I think we will be a Top 15 team to end the year. That should be a realistic goal for the coaches and team with the talent we have. I know a lot of it is new guys and being transfers but they are proven to some degree at the D1 level.

I'm good with that. That just means they think we lose all the close ones and have factored in the coaching change honeymoon period. Now we get to surprise them.

Nobody gives a rip about a damn preseason ranking. They mean next to nothing, other than giving us something fun to look at with no basis, and something to help cure our slight itch for football right now. If it makes you feel any better, ESPN FPI released has LSU at 11. That list is shitty too though, with Texas being 6th and Auburn being 10th.

Are you an NC State fan too? I agree that is a high ranking, but NC State is going to be extremely stout next year from everything I’ve heard. I can’t get behind that Michigan State ranking next year though.
