It would not be a bad idea to give Andy Kennedy's agent a call.

o that's all coaching hires the last 20 years at elite football schools?

I can think of a few you left off, but they are successful, so it would defeat the purpose of your list. Although, you did put Miles who was successful.

You totally missed the point I made . The post I responded to stated LSU could have hired any number of big names. I was pointing out that big name football coaches seldom leave for another elite program. So the choices are generally assistants or coaches who do well at a lesser school or lower level program. Every once in a while the stars align and a high profile NFL coach wants to return to the college ranks like Saban or Harbaugh but that is a rarity.

The elite colleges I noted did not hire big name coaches away from a similar program. You may consider Tom Herman as big time but Texas though the same of his predecessor.

Well let's hope they at least try for some big names. Maybe someone will take pity on us and see if they can help.

So are you saying assistants who were historic level failures in their prior HC jobs generally aren't hired by high level programs or were they just left off of your list by mistake?

What is your point? I made the statement that it would be extremely rare for a big name coach to leave for another high profile job at an elite football program. So yes, the pool of candidates includes assistants whether or not they have HC experience , good or bad and coaches from less elite football programs. Neither Saban or Miles were considered big name coaches when hired by LSU.

Can't expect anything more from the Great Alleva. Waiting for him him to make LSU a laughing stock again.

Remember when we were going to gauge the interest of Urban Meyer and Nick Saban.

What if we comprised a staff of Stansbury, Brady, and Gottfried....I mean look that is 3 coaches who did OK coaching in this league so I think that means they'd be incredible here

I can't imagine why he'd even consider leaving the top basketball conference in the country to coach fricking LSU.
