I recommend people who are not subscribed to a Watch ESPN provider to use XBMC for PCs, Macs, iPhones and/or Androids. It is free to install...then you add the ESPN3 plugin to it. Once you have the plugin settings right, you'll be able to watch all content from ESPN3 (not live ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU programming though) AND force the highest quality stream.

Streamed the 45 min first inning through my iPad to my bug big arse tv. Went blank for about 7 min, then not a problem rest of game, except about a second and a half difference in the sound. Anyway,

I had one bar of reception most of the night and it was horrible. Sometimes I couldn't even follow the ball. Every now and then it would jump to 5 bars for one or two pitches and it was fine, then it would freeze and go back to bad.

Yeah I had the same issue. About the 7th...it went downhill fast. Didn't know if it was my ISP or the stream...from all the comments...looks like it was the stream..thanks for sharing the info.

watching through the xBox 360 it was fine at some points then kind of blurry at others, which I was confused about because for the entire broadcast the espn ticker at the bottom was crystal clear.

I tried your instructions and it still didn't work. Yes, I enabled the plugin and I can see previous shows but how do I play the live stream for an ongoing game?

Mine started out great, then was up and down. Mostly down by the 7th. Tried refreshing, but that didn't work. I'll try closing the whole browser and reopening today.

ESPN3 quality is proportional to how much crap I have running on my computer

Not True! I have 3.06 Intel Core Duo with 4 GB Ram and run nothing else on my computer when I am streaming a game except for the browser and still have the blurry, stop/reload problems.

I use ESPNplayer.com to watch the games in Azerbaijan and the quality is HD. Only problem to day was the game wasn't on ESPNplayer.com

Hopefully the U-La-La games will be on ESPNplayer.com
