2002 Sugar Bowl rematch

Yeah the Monroe ABC affiliate lost power right after the game started when a car crashed into their building and also took out the telephone pole that held the power lines! They finally got power back in the 4th quarter. I was SO pissed off having waited since 1987 to see LSU play on New Year's Day!

60 players that want to impress their new HC. I think we’ll be well motivated, but just may not have the ‘dudes’ if most departures opt out.
We’ll see. GT!

I wish Lane would just coach this game.

outdoor stadium in Nashville during winter does not sound ideal.

Unfortunately, we will miss the new indoor stadium by one year.

We were there. I remember stopping at my buddies house on the way home to wake them up and we all tried building snowmen but there wasn’t quite enough snow to make anything decent. Was a great time.

Nah. We need him and the GM sitting back, watching and scouting players. They need to figure out who to pay to stay and there’s no tape on a lot of the young players who weren’t in the rotation. The Bowl practices and game are a perfect setting for that.

Remember when Saban won the first Sugar Bowl in his LSU tenure? Against Illinois. Who were favored. Ill take it.

As a high school senior in suburban Chicago with a bunch of friends who were going to attend U of I, that game gave me immense pleasure.

I think it was 31-7 at halftime.
