This is informative, and you make a lot of strong points. It is really tough to argue against that 2001 Miami Hurricanes team though.

When’s the last time USC wasn’t preseason top 5, and when’s the last time that their team actually turned out to be halfway worth a shite? USC is the all-time media darling, I’m honestly surprised that 2003 USC wasn’t #1 overall according to the west coast hacks that write most of these articles

Yeah that 2001 Miami team was absolutely ridiculous. I think the 2013 FSU team at #4 is way too high personally.

Ok, we can play that game. The 2011 LSU team should be ranked, I don't know, maybe 8th on that list because even though they didn't win the BCS title game, they previously beat Alabama and dominated every other team on their schedule.
