ut here is what I think Lee was told: You can stay on the team but you will not take a meaningful snap. I think it will eventually come to the surface, too much social media this day and time for it to stay a secret.
This is why I do not believe that is not the case. Throughout the ENTIRE game, JL stood on the sidelines, as close to the field as he could, and intently watched every play. His head was into the game. In the second half, his helmet was on, he had his play selection wristband on, and he looked about ready to run onto the field at any time. If he knew he wasn't going to play, why was he clearly chomping at the bit the entire game.I believe he really thought he would get a chance in the 4th quarter at 15-0. meanwhile, every shot of JJ was of a brooding face, sitting on the bench looking lost and hopeless.

I agree.
Jlee has handled this better than anyone could imagined.
What else would expect from a guy that has exuded nothing but class since he's been here?

They didn't "quit."
They were wrong. But they didn't quit.

I believe Lee basically told Les to go frick himself behind the scenes.
If I were JLee, I'd certainly be telling him that today. What would you have to lose?

Punting down by 2 scores in the 4th quarter is quitting

JL for the way he was treated by fans early on and by the way he was treated by his coach at the end is one class act. I wish him all the joy life can bring and continued success. THANK YOU JARRETT LEE.

If nothing else the guy is no longer remembered as Pick 6 Lee, Tiger fans will remember him now for what he did for us early in the season, and that they wish he had gotten his shot last night.
Too many people forget that after the RP fiasco and throughout the JJ era, Lee did his share of contributing. A possible losing season in '08 became 8 wins and a 7 or 8 win season a year ago became 11 wins. After JJ's pre-season stunt, it's not likely Mettenberger goes 9-0 as a starter against that schedule. Mr. Lee, I salute you. You should have gotten your chance to shine last night, brother. Thanks for being a good Tiger.

Lets say Lee told Les to go frick himself or something like that.. STILL doesnt explain why our starting QB for NEXT YEAR didnt get a chance. Why wouldnt you want him to get playing time in the NC game when your QB if you choose to call him that fricking sucks?

who didn't quit?
the coaches certainly quit
or whoever was calling the plays

Not one player or coach at anytime has ever said anything about JJ being a divider.
That's right. No teammate or coach has said that JJ is selfish or a divider, but JJ makes this fact abundantly clear in his actions on the field and sidelines. He doesn't need coaches or players to point out his ineptitude, he does it himself.

Lee is one of my favorite Tigers of all time after this season and last. And especially with how he has handled everything from the coaching staff. Lee, good luck to you man!

I'm gonna play the devil's advocate here although I DO NOT believe Les is smart enough for this scenario nor do I believe this to be the case.
Say Les was smart enough and liked JL enough to want him to go out as the hero that didn't get his shot and didn't put him in for this reason.
As I said, I don't think Les is capable of this kind of master plan (he sure as hell can't put a game plan together), but what if?
THANK YOU LEE, for showing all LSU players aren't whiney thugs

REALLY???
How about his lobbying for the starting job back and getting other starters to do the same?
If he was a uniter, he would have come back and embraced the backup role and admitted JLee is the starter.
Don't give me that crap. Lee has 10X the character and intangibles that JJ has.

let's say lee couldn't play for whatever reason...
why not mett then? someone, anyone, would have been better than jefferson. he was lost from the first snap.

Freaking this.
Lee threw his pick sixes as a Frosh. He grew, and he improved as a QB.
Jordan Jefferson is the same, angry, ignorant QB he was four years ago.

And don't want to hear shite about Lee's deer in headlights look at Bama this year. He won us the game against Bama last season. He could've given us something in a friendly environment last night. Say what you want about his mental lapses, but he MOVED THE CHAINS.

I wish you weren't an LSU fan.
Next year you'll tout the genius of stud, hate Lee again (even though hes gone) and think Les is better than Saban. You are the most fickle of fickle fans.
