quote:

"I wish I could have helped out in any way," Lee told ESPN's Edward Aschoff after the game. "Still thought we played hard, fought tough, had a special season, a special group of seniors. I really enjoyed playing with these guys. But yeah, I felt like given the opportunity I could have came in and helped a little bit."

When asked if there was any point Lee thought he could go to the coaches and ask for a chance, he shot down the notion.

"If they wanted to give me an opportunity, they would have," he said. "I just tried to stay loose, tried to stay prepared on the sideline if that opportunity did come."

Poor guy. he deserved a shot. The team deserved better than Jefferson.

But Les is the coach and we should never question the coach, look how far he got us!

ESPN must be a nega-tiger. Why are they interviewing the back-up qb? Oh yeah, the entire nation watched him play well for 8 games this year only to be banished to the back of the bench for the 92 yard offense that LSU currently runs.

Even though I think he is a terrible quarterback, I'm sad he was never given a chance last night. His final game as a Tiger.

If nothing else the guy is no longer remembered as Pick 6 Lee, Tiger fans will remember him now for what he did for us early in the season, and that they wish he had gotten his shot last night.

Lee remains a class act even after being screwed by Les Miles and Co... Thanks JL... and yes, you deserved MUCH better treatment for your loyalty...

Don't get why he didn't get a shot.

Probably make little difference, but still doesn't make sense.

Maybe Les did not want to let Lee outshine his golden boy on the last stage.... Now people can only wonder...

really ???

you will be lead to slaughter one day with that thought process.

ALWAYS question, NEVER stop.

-------------
Saban played to stop JJs game (the line -runs- play action and sweeps)
Had Lee come in, Saban would have at least had to consider the "pass" and backed away "some", which he totally ignored with JJ.
JL in the shotgun, may have had the chance to "give us the spark"

It doesn't matter if Lee would have gotten even fewer yards... you make the change because the team knew that Jefferson's head wasn't in it. Even if Miles pulled Jefferson for 1 series it would have helped the team psyche.

It's very ironic if you think about it. Most everyone wanted his head as a freshman. Now most everyone is pissed because he didnt get a chance!

What a class act Lee is. I couldn't name a handful of NCAA atheletes that would conduct themselves the way he did in that interview after the way he has been treated. Lee, good luck in Hawaii and with whatever your future holds.
