Bunch of homers downvoting me.
What I said isn’t even a hot take. If Tua didn’t get hurt, he would have had a chance to get drafted ahead of Burrow. Denying that Lawrence is 100% the better pro prospect is stupid. Burrow had a legendary season. Lawrence is a generational talent. There is a difference.

Fair enough. But kid just drove his team down the field against a great defense to get his team to another championship game. It’s not like he is lacking in the mental/intangibles department.

Burrow expresses pocket awareness on the level of Brady, focus, athleticism and accuracy like Brees, and instincts of Russell Wilson, acceleration of an average NFL receiver...
His long ball accuracy and touch is nothing I have seen since Joe Montana, the closest recent guy with touch like that is Aaron Rodgers...
I'll knock him and say he's only dead-balls accurate to 45 yards...
Trevor Lawrence is a stud, but he's only 3 of those qualities ^^^^...they both have "it" factor...the game slows the more pressure put on them...
Sure Herbert and Lawrence are bigger and stronger...and likely will have great careers at the next level...but to say Burrow isn't a generational talent is short sighted.

I really like Dan Orlovsky. He is very intelligent. He has admitted that he's more of an NFL guy, and I think his love for Trevor Lawrence is based on NFL potential and not this year's performance.
That being said, Burrow is having one of the most amazing seasons EVER by a college football player, let alone a QB.
LSU - 48
Clemson - 34

Almost everyone on that list is a unique talent, is able to host a show, or has their own show that generates revenue. Orlovsky is a replaceable talking head, I would be surprised if he was making 400k.
It doesn't matter he somehow convinced NFL teams to pay him large amounts of money to not be good at his job.

Do you ever click on a thread simply to downvote regardless of whats in the first post?
This was that kind of thread for me.

By no means am I disparaging Lawrence. The guy is a flat out stud and if both were coming out this year I would have a hard time taking Burrow over Lawrence simply because of the physical measurables. That game winning drive shows why NFL scouts are salivating for him. I suppose it comes down to what teams prefer between a John Elway or Joe Montana.

no way lawrence can throw better than Joe.
And look at who they played.
And Joe runs better.
Not even close.

so Dabo is a Joe fan from Ohio?

Measurables. That’s all it is. Lawrence is a QB prospect you would build in a laboratory.
Joe Burrow is Joe Montana
Joe Burrow is Joe Montana

The operative word is “ESPN”. Stuck with them during bowl season, but don’t lose any sleep over these talking heads.
