I don't get the OP title.

Either way, espn is the one hyping LSU up. Espn had LSU rated high in their recruitment rankings, espn writers are the ones doing these bs pre season rankings.

Espn is driving this train. I'd say majority of LSU fans regardless of their feeling of the coach realize we may just be playing 2nd and 3rd best as long as saban is in Tuscaloosa.

I def think LSU will be solid. Usually by the end of the season there are other teams ranked a head of LSU that play no one. If They were in the sec you can add 1-2 more losses on their resume.

Usually there aren't 15-17 teams better than LSU in any season.

Argument is simple: LSU is bigger, stronger, smarter, and better at nearly every (if not every) position on the field in 2016. We also get arguably the best teams in the best division in the country at home (Ala. and Ole Miss). I will admit the 2015 season crumbled like a burnt piece of toast when they faced adversity but that could also be considered a good argument for LSU being ready for the challenge in 2016. Ready for Lambeau! Geaux Tigers!

Yeah, but their permanent crossover game is vs Alabama.

Tennessee had Bama beat up until some time in the 4th quarter, and they were on the road. They did the same vs Oklahoma and Arkansas, and Florida (when they had PEDs QB). That's one national champion, two playoff contenders, the SEC East champion (again, when they had Grier at QB), and Arkansas who beat Ole Miss and LSU.

I still don't understand people questioning Tennessee so much as being a legit contender. They were literally 4 plays away from being undefeated. No game ever got away from them last year and they bring back 17 starters including the QB, both RBs, 4 OL, most of the front 7 and half of the DBs. The guys that will fill in will be better than the guys who left after last season.

We lose to Florida, bama,Ole Miss or Arkansas. Three loses. No changes were made on offense. Expect the same results. The SEC owns our playbook.

Every one of your posts are negative. Literally never seen you express one positive thought. So who's the real negatard? Don't know why I'm even asking--you'll just disappear and pop up in another thread later on when there's another poster to bitch about.

He and gray tiger are the most negative people on this board. The complete lack of awareness is astounding. I guess they think they get so many downvotes because everyone here really does hate LSU and that's why they've signed up for a site for LSU fans and put LSU as their favorite team next to their username. Never occurred to them that they're just cranky, complaining, "get off my lawn" crybabies.

And if they're bitching about people hating Les Miles then they probably didn't even read the article-which was very respectful and objective. That would go against their false narrative. Gotta keep the hate alive.

To them every question about Les Miles just looks like this:

quote:

We lose to Florida, bama,Ole Miss or Arkansas. Three loses. No changes were made on offense. Expect the same results. The SEC owns our playbook.

This is a horrible post that adds nothing and the extreme "positigers" ( how ironic) think anyone who raises the slightest question about our very-good-but-far-from-perfect coach is really just saying this.

Infuriating beyond belief.

If ESPN spent as much time studying sports as they do figuring out ways to promote the LGBT agenda, I might have more respect for their opinion.

ESPN is right. LSU is the Zika baby of college football. Normal, fully-developed body but tiny, shrunken brain.

LSU will be as talented as just about any team and they have a superstar in the backfield, but it all just depends on how much progress they've made in the passing game and on defense. LSU got rolled by 2 TDs or more in three consecutive weeks in November by the three teams that basically finished in front of them in the West (and the game against a bad aTm team at home was about as ugly as it gets...LSU was losing 7-6 late in the 3rd quarter). So although we played well in the bowl game, LSU played their worst football late in the season last year.

LSU has a ton of potential this year if they put it together, but they have to get it together quick this year because the schedule is hard. At Auburn (never easy for us) at UF, at Arky, and then Ole Miss and Bama at home is a tough task.

It is simple, until LSU beats Alabama and Ole Miss, they will be looked at as overrated.

The article points out that the end of the season fiasco with Les Miles might have some effect on "the mental state" of the football team.

Chalk up another one for Joe Alleva.

In fairness to ESPN if you are picking from legitimate contenders there aren't that many to choose from in each conference in the first place...
