It’s interesting they put 2019 Ohio state on there but not 2019 Clemson who beat them.
The media and CFB committee’s complete infatuation with OSU last year is puzzling.
It’s like Joel Klatt and Gus Johnson just kept saying “oh this is the best team ever” and everyone just went along with it.

2011 LSU won the SEC, the most dominating league of the 21st century.
Beat the Big East champ at their place
Beat the PAC 12 champ at a neutral site
Beat the SECE champ in Georgia
Beat the eventual NC in their home stadium
When we played Oregon State was 3, MSU 24, W Va 16, Florida 17, Auburn 19, Bama 2 and Arkansas 3 and Georgia 12.
24th best???????????

Yeah it's awesome to think we beat the National Champs,
Orange bowl champs, and the rose bowl champs all in one year. I doubt anyone has done that.

Les Miles really sucked and wasted so much talent during his time at LSU. The dude could have had 3 national titles easily!

How is 2002 Miami not on this list?!

24th best???????????
And we outscored this line-up of 13 teams:
FIVE HUNDRED to 123.
If not for the 'Human Poll Voters' totally disrespecting OSU's 41-14 thrashing of previous #1 OU to win the Big 12,
Saban's lobbying on national TV, AND the media's under-the-table desire to see a "REMATCH", LSU could have run the ball 60 times and not thrown a pass and beaten OSU.

2006 team was better than the 2011 team. I remember ESPN saying at the time that they might be the most talented team not to play for a National Championship ever. Hell, 2006 team was better than our 2007 team.

For crying out loud, give a link where they said it was the best team ever? Some said they were the best team last year at varying times. For all the snide “complete” team remarks how many of our own fans bitched about Aranda and the defense most of last year.
And yes they were better than Clemson. Do you guys think every team that wins every game was better? It was a close game, Ohio St made some mistakes and there were some questionable calls. Clemson deserves credit for winning but someone can still think tOSU was better

2011 was better than 2006. 2011 completely and totally dominated every team in the country not named Alabama.
And we went 1-1 against one of Bama’s best teams ever

What about the Miami team that got robbed in OT to Ohio State?? 2002 maybe?

However, enjoy the fact that the number one team on the list is 1959 Ole Miss, which was denied an NC by its lone loss to its perennial tormentor: LSU.
But ‘59 LSU doesn’t even make the list? They would have been two time NCs (and we’re by most accounts the best team in the nation) but for their first big robbing by SEC refs at Tennessee.

LSU’s 2011 defense
Bama had 2 weeks to prepare the 1st time and 5 the 2nd time and they scored 1 TD in 9 quarters of football.
