I love how when most schools lose a 2-3 year starter at QB and everyone says it will be tough for them to repeat their succes but when Bama loses Sarah Jessica Parker this clown sure jumps on the Bama bandwagon predicting them to be 09 West Champs even though they'll have a fresh and unproven QB. ESPN hates LSU

LSU's 38-3 demolition of Georgia Tech in the Chick-fil-A Bowl showed us Les Miles can coach.

The only thing I agreed with him.....

Really???? That was the game that showed you Miles' could coach? It wasnt the 41 wins, the SEC championship, the National Championship, or the previous 3 bowl game blowouts? Give me a f'n break.

The win at GT helped the national perception of Les's ability to coach considering the season we had.

20. LSU will bounce back
After a disappointing encore to its 2007 national championship, LSU will once again be a title contender. Former Tennessee defensive coordinator John Chavis will make the Tigers more fundamentally sound, and quarterback Jordan Jefferson will stabilize the offense.

I can live with that.

Its alot easier to break in a new QB when you have a good Oline and good running game. Bama doesn't have to rely on him, so I can understand the prediction, not to mention their D will be awesome, so, he can afford mistakes.

As he admitted, he predicted Georgia would be national champions this season. I think I'll go with what Nostradamus says over this guy....

We said the same thing about LSU this year.

True, but I think it'd be safe to assume Bama will have a good D next year, where as it was and is a question with LSU.

Guess he believes they are staying school. I don't know that they will if they rank high on the draft-board. LINK

And pargraphs 3, 4, 8, 10....

When was the last time an SEC team posted back to back NCs? Never? Pretty close to it, it seems.

+1,000,000

And, as for Mark Schlabach is concerned, he's a fricking joke of a writer! Plus, ESPN does not "hate" LSU, they are just in love with Bama, USC, FL, Notre Dame, tOSU--teams that have been/were dominate for years, so when they talk about them more and more, the ratings go up. LSU will soon be one of America's teams, but the mediocre 90s are still hurting us.

I'm not convinced that ESPN hates us. But I know first hand that Schlabach doesn't like LSU.

I spent 12 years as a sportswriter for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and don't remember a single positive thing Mark ever said about LSU.

I can't give you the exact numbers, but I'd guess that he predicts an LSU loss about 70-80% of the time he predicts a game we are in.

Mark's a good guy, so I won't criticize him personally, but I sure hate his outlook on LSU.

i don't view v.t. beating alabama as much of an upset. v.t. returns everybody.

LSU will win the west. VTech will beat bama. I think a lot of this article is tongue in cheek.

I love how he says in his "Northwestern will make a run for the Roses" (which I could see) that they get lucky by avoiding Michigan and Ohio St. You WANT to play scUM next year.
